Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Well, he isn't playing in the Alphen challenger next week. I think the 8th of September he's planning to play in Ljubljana? ( did I spell that right, dont think so ). And if that goes well, he was going to play DC.

And he said that he's already playing tennis again but he can't really run fast yet (hence the reason he dropped out of Alphen). He said he needed that extra week of preparation before he could start playing again.

So if everything goes according to plan, he should be playing Ljubljana challenger in September and than DC. He hasn't cancelled it yet, so there's still some hope

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

So quick update on Robin.

He is playing Ljubljana this week! He's the number one seed and plays his first match against Francesco Aldi today!

He's not playing doubles this tournament.

Good luck with your knee robin

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Robin won 1-6 7-5 6-2

So the knee is okay I guess. After the first set I thought it was going to be an ugly defeat for Robin but he held on and pulled it out in the end!

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Well, he is selected. So I expect him to play, although he will have to work hard right after his comeback. So I'll see him play live again than there! Really looking forward to it!

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Anyone here going to DC? I wanted to go but it was a little bit too expensive for me because I also had to pay for transportation (aka train which costs a fortune)

Today's result:
Robin HAASE (NED) VS Andreas HAIDER-MAURER (AUT) 6/3 6/1

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Good to see that his knee appears to be holding up.
Tess, I wanted to go to DC but I'd have to go by train as well which would be expensive and I thought the tickets were fairly expensive as well so I won't be going either

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Yeah, he was there the whole weekend! And he had some fluid in his knee, so they thought it was better to not let him play, to take no risks! And in the end it worked out, because we won!

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Anyone know when Robin will be playing again, he was on the entry list for a challenger in Belgium next week but it seems he's pulled out. I hope the knee isn't giving him any more serious problems but I'm slightly worrid about it since he's hardly been able to play since having surgery and his knee was still giving him some problems during the weekend of the DC tie. He's still on the alternates lists for Stockholm and Vienna but unless a number of players withdraw he won't be getting direct entry so it looks like he'll need to play qualifying for those events. Not sure what his plans are for the rest of the year, most important thing now is having his knee heal properly I guess.

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Sorry, I don't have a clue about his scheduel. I guess we'll just have to see. Maybe he played alittle bit too soon, with his knee Hopefully it didn't ruin the rest of his season.

You're definitely not a student! As we don't come for the matches, but for the atmosphere and the parties afterwards. A pity that we didn't just were 3-0 after saturday so that the players could join our party!
