Smile I'm gonna be there 100%

I'm gonna participate in the European Coaches Symposium held in Stockholm the same week of the tournament and they are taking us to see the semi-finals. Also the hotel is quite close to the Royal Club so might have the chance to see other matches (time permitting)

BTW, does any1 know at which hotel do the players stay?
I'll be at Hotel Scandic Ariadne

I'll be at Hotel Scandic Ariadne
The Scandic Ariadne was the quallie Hotel last year, as Scandic Hotels were one of the main sponsors in 2005 - but I think they change the Players' Hotel every year so I don't know about this year. It used to be the Grand Hotel, but that's so expensive I'm not sure if they still use it. I've stayed in the Ariadne before - it's quite nice but a bit of a long journey to the city centre and shops and other places of interest. Stockholm is a fantastic place though and it's a wonderful tournament - hope you enjoy yourself.

thanks

I dont think I'll have time to go in shops, touristic places and such
it would be great if the players stayed in the same hotel as me but I doubt they'll put 2 big events in the same place

As I recall, the Ariadne is quite large - with lots of conference rooms and facilities for big events (probably why the Symposium is being held there) - so it could probably accomodate both - though admit it's a few years since I stayed there. You should try and get into Stockholm in the evenings at least though - there are some great restaurants and clubs

Exactly!!!!

Well, I'll be in Stockholm for 100% since I've already got my visa and organised all the other stuff.
And as for me, I decided to stay at Scandic Sj÷fartshotellet which is placed in the center but there are only 4 stations to the Stadium by subway

Somehow I thought you would

And Hangdog - I don't know your Hotel at all - but I'm sure it will be fine - the Scandic chain are usually very clean and efficient.

Have fun both of you.

well, I've stayed both in Sj÷farts and Ariadne. Sj÷fartshotellet is smaller. It situated bot far from touristic places (from Old Stockholm). Clubs and restaurants of S÷dermalm are also nearby and imho it's a bit more cosy than Ariadne

I'm sure you both will have nice time there. Stockholm is a wonderful place!

The players will be staying at the Park Hotel, approx. a 15-minute walk from the tournament venue. The hotel where you are staying is closer to the venue but in an opposite direction. Hope you enjoy Stockholm! This is my home tournament. I've watched it every year since 1987.

Coming from a German that is funny JMG.

ô On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I have tasted it in IKEA (third time today I wish there was a puke smiley). Fortunately, at tennis tournaments I drink only coffee and eat muesli ... pizza sometimes. Wouldn't you want to come, btw?
