Breton by marriage then, it counts too, we're open minded.
I remember now, you're from the North - and proud of it (j'ai gaffé).

Who are the current French players coming from your region, btw? I can't think of any, just from the top of my mind...

Re: ~~Marc Gicquel~~

From Metz where my parents live there used to be Julien Boutter and Olivier Mutis, Paulo is from Strasbourg. From the North (le Nord) it's mainly women actually: Nathalie Dechy (though born in Guadeloupe) and Sarah Pitkowski are from the area of Lille. Mauresmo is from Picardie.

I was thinking that maybe Marc could be selected for the DC to play in doubles.

Re: ~~Marc Gicquel~~

Disappointing loss for Marc... bad stats with his serve. Maybe he wasn't 100% fit after his retirement last week.

Re: ~~Marc Gicquel~~

He's fine, but he needs a break, he says he will take some time off until IW (he was supposed to play the Besançon Challenger).

Great win, now Roger
Maybe he will have other things on his mind than tennis

Re: ~~Marc Gicquel~~

Well Marc played well, but against Roger it wasn't enough. I'm confident he can have a good season this year!

Re: ~~Marc Gicquel~~

It's written in l'equipe and on few website that yesterday Marco had a big nervous crisis after his loss against Martin because of two noisy spannish supporters. He went to the stands with his racket in the hand to fight with them He was hardly stop by G Peyre.
Quote:

Re: ~~Marc Gicquel~~

Marc beat Beck and is now in the 3rd round!
46 67(8) 76(7) 75

Roddick next.

Beck did not offer his hand to Marc at the end of the match. Not sure why as I only saw the last few points. Anyone know what happened?

I snapped this screen cap of them at the net.

I'm also interested to know about the lack of a handshake. Beck was pointing at lines but you could tell that Marc's insane cheering got in Beck's heada bit. Oh well, great win Marc. Roddick is certainly a winable match.
