Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

That's a great win from Nico.
Couldn't go today, sorry Irina, I know I promised to watch and report back. Hopefully I'll see him on Thursday.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Girls, my fingers still hurt from all the crossing!

And I almost fought with my mother who was cheering for Lapentti

No problem, Jenny, I read about it on your Twitter in the morning Hope you enjoyed the day anyway, and besides going to tennis every day might be tiresome lol So then maybe on Thursday - or even tomorrow if you go, Nicolas will play in doubles.

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

I made the scan of TennisMag about his last news.
He didn't play since july because of an injury on the left foot something with the tendons. He has no more training structure but the federation should help him.

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

It's just unbelievable that some paper has finally remembered about the existence of Nicolas Devilder... I already gave up hoping. The news isn't that good, but at least there is finally some real news!

Soulage, you are a star!!!!!!!!! Thank you very, very, very much

I'll have time to make a detailed translation in a couple of hours.

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

"How are you?" This is the question we asked Nicolas Devilder, who had to put an end to his season because of an ankle injury he's been suffering for months. However Nicolas is ready to start off again on the "right foot" in 2010.

- It's getting better. I started training again after a break that lasted for over 3 months and was caused by an injury to my left ankle, an inflammation of the tendon sheath. This injury was the result of a sprain in the ankle I got at Zagreb Challenger just before RG. I was playing with a bandage during the next tournaments, and my foot lost its proper flexibility. After all, soon after Wimbledon I had medical tests and decided to stop.

Could you think back then that the injury would take so long to heal?

- After I stopped playing I kept entering entry lists of tournaments because I thought that the pain will go away soon. I had two injections, but nothing came of it. I've been going to the rehab centre in St. Cloud for a little bit over 1.5 month. I still have a bit of discomfort, the ankle is still stiff.

And how do you see the future?

- I have been doing absolutely nothing for 3 months, I couldn't even run 10m. In such moments after a while it's easy to give up mentally. Then you'll need to get back to it, put yourself in the right mood again. But I've decided to start off again for 2010. I don't really have a place to practise at anymore, but the Federation assured me that I'll get access to their training structures. If I don't play until December I'll get a protected ranking around 180th place, but it's not too exciting. I'm going to cross this idea out because I'm going to take part in the Interclubs in November, and it's counted as a "normal" tournament.

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

Mixed feelings really

If he has no place to train at, there are tennis courts just under my window... I could have a nice view on Sundays while having breakfast
