Oh Peta, that's what I call good news! Thanks, we'll surely be looking forward to the new updates from you
Hopefully he won't be scheduled for the same time as someone else of your favorites so you'll be able to attend his first round match and cheer him up to the victory Though he plays against your countrymate

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

I know the draw SUCKS! I really like Gooch ... and if he wins he'll likely play Simon who I also love now.

Also, getting to matches is going to be a disaster for me... I have about 12 favourites playing on Tuesday and only a couple on Monday. I have Andrei trying to get me a ticket for his match against Murray (even though he has no chance ) plus all my other MAIN favourites ALL on Tuesday. It's an absolute disaster

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

Merci Marine!

Peta, yes, I guess it sucks when there is a huge draw and many of your favourites are placed next to each other and are supposed to play on the same day But if your like Gooch too, then you have even two reasons to be at this match BTW, is he indeed in such a great form ATM as some believe him to be?

(Maybe you should have asked some umpire, they always have access to the tickets, especially if it's just one ticket for a 1st round match. Anyway I do hope Andrei will get one for you! )

And another good news. The famous Devilder/Mathieu team is back And their draw is quite nice, De Voest/Fisher for the first round.

Nico's definitely the best looking one in that picture (Paulo )

i don't envy anyone with a long list of favs, at a big tournament like this where everyone is here.

playing the gooch may mean that i can see the match on telly

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

Bobby, you rock This photo of smiling Nico surely made my day! Am I right to assume he was practising with Paulo?

And since I'm writing this post anyway, I'll make another short review of Nico's latest results.
After the AO Nicolas went on his traditional South American tour where he won a single match against a top 300 Brazilian player and lost 4 other matches. But each time it was really close, just too many missed BP opportunities, and in general a bad luck in crucial moments
Last week he lost in the 1st round of IW to Nieminen, and again it was a really tight match. The highlight surely was the last game when Jarkko was leading 7-6 5-1 and 40-0 (= 3 match balls), and then Nico won 4 next points. Then Jarkko tried to change situation, had some 3 more MPs, and finally took the game and the match. Anyway a great fight from Nico

In conclusion I can add that despite all the losses Nicolas keeps his ranking around #62
The next step is Sunrise, the draw is not out yet, but hopefully it won't be too bad so Nicolas will have an opportunity for a great come back

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

You are very welcome, the pics where he is wearing orange are from a hit with Florent Serra, the shirtless pics are from a hit with Paulo. Thanks for an update of his season, I caught a bit of his match during the llodra feli match (i could see from the upper stadium 2 seats) , too bad he lost but he definitely fought. Even though I may not be attracted to him the same way you are, the pic of him smiling is definitely one of my favorites from the whole trip!

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~

How can one be a fan of Almagro, Ljubicic and Nadal at the same time?

His opponent is Berdych A new dose of good luck. Though on the other hand, the chances of Nicolas for a win over the top seed or the last direct acceptance are almost similar, and in case of a lose, a lose to Berdych is more excusable Anyway I'm sure on a good day Nico is able to knock out even this Berdych, we'll see tomorrow.

I couldn't stand and checked your album Now I have two things to say:
  1. Don't post the link here or do it with precautions, otherwise someone can have a heart attack.
  2. How could you keep all these pictures away from us for such a long time?!
