Re: Nicolas Mahut

Nico won 6-2,6-3 , it was more about Juanqui errors than Nico, but his BH was at times. He is back at the top-80 , 65 points now this event for him.

First set was all about Nico, who broke twice, and Juanqui got one back, and then Mahut saved a couple of BP, and served it out. Then, J.C was 3-1 up, and then Nico got 5 games in a row , he made 11 aces, and won 75% points on 1st serve, and 60% when Ferrero was with his 2nd serve

Ferrer up next, tough but he can make it

Re: Nicolas Mahut

Well, Nico plays Ferrer on centre court at 10:30, let's hope for a win, because if he beats Ferrer, then Dolgo or Kohli is winnable, !Allez Nico!

Re: Nicolas Mahut

A bit disaapointing set by Nico :, he had 0-30, 0-30 and 15-30 in 3 of Ferru serves, but still didn't get any B.P. He is beng quite erratic, 11 winners and 15 UE'S, but Ferrer is not being better( 9 winners and 11 UE's). His serving is very bad today, 0 aces and 3 DF's, apart from a poor 48% of 1st serve in. He won 82% of points on 1st serve, but 40% on 2nd serve. !Allez Nico!, he is now 1-0 up on set 2, Ferrer serving, 0-15

Re: Nicolas Mahut

He played better on second set, but still lost: 4-6,4-6. Ferrer was solid(18 W and 17 UE'S)nothing more, as David was awful at volleying(4/13). Nico could have forced a decider at 3-2 15-40 up, but he played two loose points. Anyway, good end of the year(top-80), and wins over Tomic and Ferrero. His serve was good at set 2(won 92% points on 1st serve). Nico won 21/34 at the net, and did 21 W and 26 UE'S

Re: Nicolas Mahut

Very winnable Challenger , and he loses on QF, 6-4 6-7(6) 6-7(6) , and he could have improved a bit his ranking. Right now he is #79.

Re: Nicolas Mahut

He finishes the year in top 100 and has find his game that's a good point he will enter directly some events at the start of the year.

He should play Interclub maybe not this week-end but after some holidays; He said he will stay in france this year to spend time with his family.

Re: Nicolas Mahut

hello everyone, im new here and this is my first post! i support nico just like you (well i hope!), specially since i read his book. i think he really deserves more victories, all his "almost wins" are so frustrating!! A little question. i live in france and we re planning to go to the 250 in Montpellier support our frenchies (January 30th to feb 6th). buut we just realized that the challenger Courmayeur is the same week!! According to what he done there last year (win both simple and double, 80 points), where do you think mahut will go? he stopped at the first round in Montpellier. Thank you for your help!
