Re: Nicolas Mahut

1,5 months later he shouldn't be tired fysically anymore. Maybe it's more mentally, he has hard time to motivate.

Re: Nicolas Mahut

Nico has an ankle injury.
http://www.nortecastilla.es/20100806...008061743.html

I always think he's a fighter,he tries hard but it's sad he doesn't have a strong body,he's quite skinny and easy to get injury.
BTW Isner has a shoulder injury and has withdrawn from Rogers Cup.IMO that match affects both players' bodies.I'm not a fan of Isner but gotta respect him as much as I love Nico.

It's old news, but still nice to see it.Here's my favourite Q&A.He indeed shouldn't have lost it.

Quote:
At any moment, has it bother you that people remind you so much the game against Isner at Wimbledon, where you both beat the length record of a tennis match?

Sincerely, I like it when they ask about it, because the feedback is always positive, and that game has been a good one for my career, since I've got to be known a lot more. I don't know the reasons why I lost that match; I still today consider I shouldn't have lost it. But it doesn't bother me at all that people ask about that match.

Rather agree on that actually (note I used the "if-phrase"). Since Newport he still has had many obligations. But doesn't matter now.

Nico was scheduled to play Istanbul, I think, would that still be OK?

By the way, a friend of mine from Dijon read in the local newspaper - Le bien public - an article about that match (Millot comes from Dijon) and Millot's trainer (that my friend knows too ) said that Vincent hoped to quickly reach the top200 in order to be allowed to play tournaments of a higher level (which ones? 250?). So that's good for him too !

Re: Nicolas Mahut

I'd rather say Mee-yow, but you may have the correct pronunciation as well.

Re: Nicolas Mahut

He had lower back problems in Newport but yesterday he played doubles with marco so he was surely able to play, they lost unfortunatly and we can't say that the post wimbledon is great for Nico Next will be the qualies of USO I hope he will be at 100% there.

Re: Nicolas Mahut

It's a shame he always has niggling injuries after Wimbledon. Injuries start being on and on as expert predicted, nothing can do,just hope it will end soon.IMO he shouldn't have played doubles,so did that doubles match in Newport.Doubles is not important.

Get some rest.Hope Nicolas will receive WC at US Open which is unlikely.

In some way, yeah. But I'm not so sure it's so unimportant for him. He's had better results in doubles than in singles so far.

Just my own perspective on it. :drunk: Yep he also has 3 doubles titles.I guess those injuries are minor, maybe he doesn't wanna let his doubles partner down, probably he wants to win something too badly.Unfortunately he lost the next doubles match after had lost the single 3 times in a row recently.

Re: Nicolas Mahut

his draw in qualies

Grega Zemlja SLO (6)vJulio Silva BRA
Alexandre Sidorenko FR vReda El Amrani MAR

Matthew Ebden AUS v Nicolas Mahut FRA
Jordan Cox USA v Uladzimir Ignatik BLR (29)

He said in lequipe that it's still tough with his body that he feels some pain in his back and he received a mail of Isner who wrote him that he was injured and that's he was burn out. This record was too much for the guys.

I've just have seen the article in l'Equipe and it made me laugh
I think it's so cute they keep in touch since their "match" ! Like old good friends lol

It's like if they compare the reaction of their body after THE MATCH, like 2 old men "and you, how do you feel today ? I've a pain in my back, not you ?"

"A la base, nous les Français, sommes les champions du monde des râleurs. J'ai l'impression qu'être français, c'est un peu un handicap pour être le meilleur dans ton sport.
Pour faire du sport de haut niveau, d'autres mentalités sont plus propices".
