Unhappy Nico out for the rest of the year

Too bad that he is skipping not only the hard court season but also the indoors where he might have done well.

Hopefully the rest will do well to his hip and he'll be back at full speed in 2004.

Good luck Nicolas, get well soon.

Actually he has arthritis and it isn't looking good. There isn't really a cure for arthritis, and there is a very good chance this is the end of Nico, unfortunately.

Re: Nico out for the rest of the year

artritis?!!!!
omg thats sooo sad!! *sigh*
it's so not fair how he is always plagued with injuries and we know how good he can play without them...i reckon its strange to think how good a player he could have been in the past few years if he wasn't so unlucky with these injuries!!!

hopefully next year will be bettter

Re: Nico out for the rest of the year

It's sad that Nico can't play this year anymore But it's great that he now can visit his brother when he's playing matches. Ajax was playing a tournament last weekend, and Nicolas was on tv twice

Julien looks much better! I didn't know him before he start playing in Holland, but I'm a fan already
I didn't like it that Nico was smoking! I don't like it when people smoke, I hate it when topsportmen smoke!

Re: Nico out for the rest of the year

But I hate the Dutch tv a bit now. They were not interested in Nicolas, they only showed him twice, and both of the time they showed him because he was smoking.
Btw. Julien is a really great player He's quite good, I'm sure soon he will have lots of fans in Holland. And then there will also be more fans for Nicolas!

Re: Nico out for the rest of the year

During the first match when they showed him (Liverpool vs. Ajax) they said: 'you can see he's a bit nervous because he smokes.' ( Don't ask me why they said it, they always say stupid things during matches)
During the second match (ajax vs. inter milan) they did only say: 'you can see the air out of his mouth' (again a stupid sentence )

Re: Nico out for the rest of the year

That suprises me though, that he smokes. That any professional athlete would smoke. Doesn't that hinder their fitness and endurance? Maybe he just heard the bad news (about the injury or artheritis and he started smoking because of that? ) Anyway, I hope to see Nico at more Ajax games, that alone would make the Julien purchase worthwhile

p.s.: I don't support Ajax, I support Inter but Amsterdam is slightly closer to me than Milano (in geographical distance that is)

Re: Nico out for the rest of the year

It didn't follow the match because I was on holiday. But yeah, anyone who messes with my boy Toldo... uhm... I wouldn't really like them. I'm not good at threats
