I'm so happy he's back!

Fingers crossed he plays at the Australian Open. I won two ground passes to the Open on Triple M (Melbourne radio station) last Friday! For January 17th!

really esther??? will you have to sleep on the floor if i get your bed? lol

my dates are 15 - 18, i'll be at melbourne park all 4 days i think, unless there're some relatives of relatives who want to see me. i hope to meet up with people I know here (ie. esther, liz, kat, bjorkmangirl.... if we can arrange it that would be a big party for me, cos i usually hang out at tournaments by myself!

Re: frenchies commitments next year? (esp. in january) ;)

Yeah we'll definitely meet up Via!! What happened this year was that we split up during the day so everyone can see who they want to see and then met up later...but Liz, we're going to have to sort out a cheaper version of meeting up than calling because we both remember how much our phone bills were over Dec-Jan...lol. A pranking system maybe?! *shrugs*

Re: frenchies commitments next year? (esp. in january) ;)

It seems that we'll have to wait even longer before Nicolas Escudé returns to tennis action. From sports.fr:

Elina

Allez! Nicolas Escudé Jérôme Haehnel Arnaud Clément Sébastien Grosjean Thierry Ascione Olivier Mutis Julien Varlet

C'mon! Lleyton Hewitt Mark Philippoussis Todd Reid

¡Vamos! Juan Carlos Ferrero Rafael Nadal

Yippee! Jan-Michael Gambill Graydon Oliver

Come on! Gustavo Kuerten Tim Henman

Wow! Patrick Rafter Wayne Ferreira

Re: frenchies commitments next year? (esp. in january) ;)

Richard has been practising in RG for a week, with lots other players, a pic:

According to l'equipe and the website of FFT, Richard will play the challenger of Noumea from the 3 to 9th januar (that would mean he won't play the hopman cup ), then the qualifs of Sydney, then the AO...

"A la base, nous les Français, sommes les champions du monde des râleurs. J'ai l'impression qu'être français, c'est un peu un handicap pour être le meilleur dans ton sport.
Pour faire du sport de haut niveau, d'autres mentalités sont plus propices".

doesn't even open the gates?

day for shopping, fun and games, lol and yes, meeting up

esther you have posted your 'home alone' schedule online

thank very much for your kind invitation, lol!!!!!!! to be honest i don't think your mum would be pleased to find some stranger staying at her home, while she's away!!!! esp i should be old enough to afford my lodgings so don't worry about it. really. i'm only leaving the accomodation decision till later hopefully getting one of those 'last minute' deals. unless someone tells me here that there isn't gonna be any last minute deals in melbourne during the open

qualies in sydney... he'd better not collapse again in the heat! it's been said that we're going to get a particularly hot summer this time.
