Re: Julien Benneteau

He lost to Tipsarevic in AO but he's still in course for double. I'm wondering what they can do with ERV maybe they can go far.

Re: Julien Benneteau

it's hard to believe they are doubles partners, they fought furiously in their singles match.

Re: Julien Benneteau

Benny

He fought till the end, but it wasn't enough. He thanked his coach, said they're getting closer and he thinks he can win his first title with him this year.
He also congratulated Delpo, thanked the organization and his girlfriend. She was there today and yesterday, so I guess they're back together. Then he thanked the crowd and he hopes to see them next year. He surely was disappointed, but it didn't really show. I guess the breakdown will come in the locker room.

It was funny during the second set when Delpo suffered from a nose bleed. Benny made some gestures to the umpire to ask if he retired. Wishful thinking.

Re: Julien Benneteau

I was not able to watch the match but Del Potro was not an easy challenge for him. Well his record in finals is quite ridiculous but it means nothing about his talent, he deserves a title but with his current level of play it can happen every week.

Yes Karen was already back around during Bercy, it was surely a very few months break between them. I saw her in the crowd of Davis Cup first round so personnal life is also getting well for Julien.

He goes to Marseille now but with the fatigue it will surely be tough. Good luck anyway.

Re: Julien Benneteau

Janowicz defeated Julien 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, R1 Rogers Cup

Frustrating match. Julien was very solid in the 1st set but made more errors after that. Janowicz was not at his best either - Julien had chances, but unfortunately hit 3 double faults at 5-5 in the 3rd set to give the break.

Better luck for the doubles

Re: Julien Benneteau

Hi guys, got to see Julien and Nenad Zimonjic play one match during my trip to the Open, took a few pics, and thought I'd share. Hope you'll have a look!

Also, in case anyone's interested, got some more French content in form of Richie vs Tursunov and have a look!
