We have our differences, but as far as Forget is concerned we are in perfect harmony, aren't we?

I arrive a bit late but there is something i dont get. Why Jeremy was not thinking of a possible selection in the DC? He was good and really serious in Holland, I remember he was keeping his serious when some girls were looking them training that was not really the case of Gaël
From what I saw, it looks Forget clearly ask Gaël not to play Acalpulco and he did not talk with Jérémy Ok he is not in good shape, but we know from the past the best player in dc are not necessarly the best one in singles

Oh I totally agree with that, we are not at the end of surprises with him...

Even if France looks favorite, we never know what could happen...

Re: Davis Cup 2010: France against Germany

So many chuckles on this thread I was wondering all day what might be going on but I knew whose ears would be burning
I hope Gillou goes to train with them but I would be happy to see him just cheer the rest on.
Llodra retired from his match today? Hope it's nothing serious!

Llodra seems to have retire cos he lost first set and doesn't want to play a three set match after his run in Marseille

Are you going too, icecastle ? I'm going on all three days which is why my Gilles campaign intensifies now that it's sure that I can't have Richard

Oh, wow 3 days! Im so jealous! Have fun watching and please take lots of pics. How I wish I could go to France but its impossible since its in the middle of the semester. (Im thinking of going to France next year after graduation). But even I couldn't watch it live I would still love to see Gilles play in DC. Im hoping there are streams or coverage in Tennis channel.

Gasquet is the fifth players called by Forget and as they all play early they will start the training all together.

Oh my, you would think after all these years he can't surprise us anymore but he can !
This is a stupid decision but I'm very happy Now I just need Gilles instead of Mika, but I guess I can't hope for more than a miracle for a day

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hardly use that word, but I really hate Forget for this. What is the purpose of this? Why does he NEED Richard as a remplacant??? Or does he intend to have him play? Doesn't he trust Tsonga, Gael, Llodra and Julien to do their job? Or are all these guys who did so brilliantly (apart form Geal) in the Marseille mickey mouse tourney tired and injured that he has to rely on Richard?

Why can't he let Richard alone, let him do his build-up. We have all seen that some physical training might be what Richard may need now. But no, he can't do it as he has to do all the DC stuff, ceremonial and other. I really feel Forget does this on purpose to prevent Richie from his work on a real comeback. At the same time, he deprives a young player, e.g. Chardy to get to know the Davis Cup athmosphere. Well, done Forget.

Re: Davis Cup 2010: France against Germany

The question for me is, why he was pissed off last year because Gael was playing Acapulco, this year it looks clearly he asked him not to play and he asks Richard to come back to Europe after Acapulco.
I would be Gael, I would be pissed off, because he will lose all the points from the final from last year...
And Richard should have refused this selection.... no one would blame him for that.

I am afraid no, If Richard had refused all of France would be over him, with L'Equipe first. I only hope that Forget talked to him in person, before he called him and I totally agree with you about Gael. The only good thing is that Gael and Richard seem to get along well, so it won't affect them on a personal basis. Probably they sit together and shake both their heads about Forget, as I do.
