Question Accommodation advice

Hi guys,

Am planning on going to the US Open for the first time this year. Just wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on hotels/area to stay in. 3-4 star hotel standard...and which areas would be best for transportation etc.

You can reply here or pm me. Any info would be much appreciated!!

Re: Accommodation advice

It's gonna be my first time to New York, so maybe I'm wrong here, but it's very hard to find a decent hotel in the center of the city (Manhattan) for a normal price. I've found myself a nice hotel just on the other side of the water, in Queens (Queens Boulevard, to be precise). Just 1 block away from the metroline that is going directly to Flushing Meadows. Maybe that's worth a look at.

Re: Accommodation advice

Have a question? I figured if I go I can stay near Grand Central and take a line straight in but if I stay on the east side what might be the best area?

Re: Accommodation advice

Thanks for the links smucav.
Unfortunately a bit too late for me, as I've already booked my hotel.
And I've just bought my ticket for the 4th of September. Day session, Arthur Ashe stadium.

I'm there!

First week of competition, as usual.

And the week before, the qualifying and practice days.
