Re: Michael Russell

Well unfortunately he lost but a good run to the SF's.

Re: Michael Russell

This was a winnable match for Russ and he lost in a 3rd set breaker 7-4, but this was an opportunity lost to go closer into getting direct entry into the AO, but he should be seeded in the qualies.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Michael Russell

Shame that he lost. I just hope he can carry over this form into 2007 for Australia.

Horacio Zeballos (ARG) vs Michael Russell (USA)
(7)Ilia Bozoljac (SRB) vs Adrian Garcia (CHI)

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Re: Michael Russell

Easy 1st round win Russell and now he plays Bozoljac in the second round.

He won 6-1, 6-4

Bozoljac is the 7th seed. He has a tough 1st round match. I think Mike can beat him. (or at least, hope so).

Re: Michael Russell

Mike lost to Bozo 7-5 in the 3rd.

He is in Maui and hope he can do better and here is a pic from earlier this year.

He's seeded 5th and faces American wildcard Chrish Wettengel in the first round.

Re: Michael Russell

Easy win for Mike 6-1 6-2 and now plays Widom in the next round.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

He won 6-2, 6-3. He next faces Brendan Evans in the quarters.

Re: Michael Russell

Great stuff Mike laying the smackdown on Warburg and Goldstein and now hope he can have a little bit of rest.

Get a good base and be prepared to qualify for the Aus Open.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
