Was there a heat index rule in effect last year?

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Upcoming American Players

Donald looks markedly bigger than last year -- certainly bigger than the listed 5'9". Clayton is listed at 6'0", and Young appears to be about the same height. Of course, I'm not sure if Clayton's listed height is accurate. Somebody posted during the Wimbledon Junior Open that Young looked to be about 6'3". He doesn't look that tall to me, but he's definitely grown.

Brennan Boyajian def. Ryan Thacher 7-5, 2-6, 7-6(5)

Thacher served up 5-2 in the third set and had a match point. After being broken, he then had two match points against Boyajian's serve, but again couldn't convert.

Re: Upcoming American Players

Jesse Levine was unable to play due to illness. How disappointing. I was really looking forward to seeing how they would match up.

Young will receive a WC into the main draw at the U.S. Open.

oh man that sucks. Poor Jesse I hope they consider giving him a WC too. That really stinks.

Re: Upcoming American Players

The runner is up is usually guaranteed a WC into qualies. Wow, that is such a giant bummer, but DY played well throughout the tournament and earned his place at the USO again this year, kudos to him.

Re: Upcoming American Players

Here are the MD wild cards into the U.S. Junior Open:

Brennan Boyajian, Michael McClune, Wil Spencer, Marcus Fugate, Rhyne Williams, Chase Buchanan, Bradley Klahn, and Jarmere Jenkins.

I can't believe that Ryan Thacher didn't get one. He did get a qualifying WC, however.

No. I believe they're both from the Atlanta area, though.

Re: Upcoming American Players

We don't have a Jesse Levine thread, so I'll put this here.

Jesse Levine def. Simone Bolelli 5-7, 7-6(0), 7-6(2) in the first round of U.S. Open qualifying.
