My prediction is the girls win, boys lose. But best of luck to both USA teams!

I'm surprised they made it this far. I also don't think they will win, but hope that they can put up a good fight.

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

They lost the doubles 75 76(6). 2nd place is not bad, top 3 finishes for the USA boys 3 years running. Nice to see that they can compete on red clay.

Last year, the WJT team got Jr. USO QWCs. Maybe there is a chance of it happening again.

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

I'm impressed with Gianni Ross this week. I knew he was good but he won easily all week and then went toe to toe against one of Europe's best 14U's in the final, pushing him far. Good stuff.

I don't know about those Q wildcards though. They didn't win WJT this year and didn't exactly do spectacular in the France and England trips in January. I'd like to see them get it but I don't think they earned it in the eyes of whoever decides the wildcards.

Agreed that they are not as strong as last year's team. That's why I said "maybe". I was disappointed with Gianni's results from earlier in the year, so it was a nice surprise with his performances here. I saw his match from the Eddie Herr's last year and liked what I saw. He had a nice backhand and seemed comfortable at the net. I'm really impressed with Kypson the most. Despite his small stature, he competed very well and came up big

Andrew He looks like his dad. In case you don't know, his father is Adrian Fenty (former mayor of D.C.).
