Re: The "Anything Goes Grand Slams" Thread

Good win for Klahn, though Schepper's game was only based on a good serve and rest was poor. In fact Klahn could have been considered a favorite between the two after watching this game (watched only 20% of it, but enough to get an idea)

Klahn has a few chances against Lopez but not much. Lopez is a very strong player. If Klahn could somehow win against Lopez, he would prove he is in the big league.

Re: The "Anything Goes Grand Slams" Thread

Amazing day for US Mens tennis with 5 wins (Isner, Querrey, Sock, Kudla, Young) and only 2 losses (Johnson, Altamirano)!!!

Even in that Johnson had some chances, but just made too many unforced errors.

The 5 winners join Klahn who won yesterday -- and the 2 loosers join 3 from yesterday -- so total win-loss is now 6-5.

On wednesday, the remaining 4 round 1 matches for US Mens, not expecting more than 1 victory in these -- Blake, Baker, Ram, Tim Smyzcek.

Re: The "Anything Goes Grand Slams" Thread

Yes, assuming Blake wins it -- its 3-1 today, totalling 9-6 first round performance for US Mens -- an awesome performance I would say.

Karlovic's body language is saying he is hating to be playing and would rather be home. He is just too old now, and has too many health issues. He should retire.

Rajeev Ram played exceeding well against a poor performing Fognini today -- wow! just wow!

Re: The "Anything Goes Grand Slams" Thread

For goodness sake Hewitt, I was hoping he would close out Donskoy in 3. One bad game and now going into the 4th I won't be able to watch Smyczek's match after 6.

Re: The "Anything Goes Grand Slams" Thread

I was at a friend's wedding and festivities for the whole weekend so I didn't watch a second of tennis and barely followed the scores. Seems like that turned out to be a blessing in disguise
