Always great to get the win after getting bageled the first set, keep winning Michael.

Also, I hope we will see Will Blumberg back at Kalamazoo. He's on the list right now but he retired the last two times he played, so I will be surprised if we see him there.

Yeah good week to end his trip. I like how he goes out of his way to play red clay tournies. Now I assume back to the USA to get ready for Kzoo.

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

The National Clay Court Championships were held last week. Daniel Kerznerman won the 18s and Reilly Opelka won the 16s.

Wiersholm finished 4th in the 18s, losing to Kerznerman in the SF and Will Showers in the 3rd place match. A bit disappointing after his strong showing in two European Grade 1 16-and-under clay court tournaments where he won one tournament and reached the semis of another. This was a step up in age group, but I thought he was the favorite nonetheless. He was the #2 seed.

Tiafoe lost in the QF of the 16s, losing to Opelka.

Ponwith lost in the round of 32 of the 16s.

Paul lost to Opelka in the final of the 16s.

Huh, I could have sworn it said that Opelka won. I wonder if they posted it wrong initially and then corrected it.

That's likely. It happens all the time.

I know it's been posted in here before but I love this youtube channel JuniorTennisTV

They put up some new stuff from the clay courts but also from the Orange Bowl 14s last year.

http://www.youtube.com/user/JuniorTe...?feature=watch

There is a video of Michael closing out a match against Oliver Anderson with some impressive power Anderson is doing very well in ITFs this year.

Also, this video is of Marko Osmakcic, who Michael beat in the final. He is also very tall and has been doing well in ITFs this year. Looks like a good ballstriker. Playing Ymer in this semi.

Kumar the top seed I suppose USTA results get the highest weight. Though even then I'm not sure how it makes sense.
