He was so close too winning that first set was up an break & in the lead throughout most of the first set, I guess he got down on himself after losing that first set

Still leaning pro but the UVA fans are hoping he will be a Cav. I usually pull for players to go play college tennis yet in this case I kinda want Rubin to go pro simply because I am getting a bit tired of UVA dominating the ACC.

i understand but i think if he chooses a program where he ll improve and develop, uva or usc or ohio would be the right choices

Choosing college or pro is an even deal these days. Nobody is making big pro breakthroughs at 18-19-20 anymore so playing college tennis can be just as beneficial. 50/50 deal nowadays.

How high level? Wandering around losing early in challengers and futures at 18 and 19 is really no better than getting consistent high level play at a big time college team. Are Krueger and Fratangelo better off now that they chose pro? They are both 20 and have't made any breakthrough yet. They are at the exact same level as Marcos Giron who is also 20 but is playing consistent high level high pressure matches at UCLA.
