Re: Early Commitments

I thought this was a "Mickey Mouse" tournament. Almost everybody seems to be playing here, except AndyR himself.

My sis lives in LA. I think I'll recommend it to her.

I thought the same when I saw the list.

I think the TDs this year decided to offer good appearance money. The list is pretty impressive for a 175 pts. tourney, kinda like Sydney.

Re: Early Commitments

Well they have a new title sponsor, maybe they pushed a lot of $$$$ ... I mean they usually get a strong field in LA, stronger than Indy or Wash DC. It's a bit better this year with Nalby and Robredo and a couple others, but Safin, Agassi, Hewitt, Haas, they've always played in the past (just Safin was hurt and hewitt got married last year). It's a pretty nice tourney, there are fan-friendlier events in the US Though. But you can go pretty cheaply and get to see a lot of good stuff earlier in the week.

Yes - I am surprised he is playing here instead of Umag the same week Even though Umag is on clay I can't imagine him not playing in Croatia Also Tommy Robredo said on his website recently that he had not made up his mind on any of the Summer tournaments yet. Seems it depends on the appointment of his new coach (he is hoping to announce that in the next few weeks), and whether they decide together to play the European clay court season or come to the States. Still looks an interesting line-up though. Have fun anyone who is going.

Re: Early Commitments
