He was on his way to an easy straight sets victory without losing his serve. But then, leading by 2 sets to love and a break, Jarkko decided to giwe away his serve twice in a row, which made it a little tough in the end.
A great match by Jarkko, he really looked comfortable moving on grass and hitting well inside his limits. To be honest, Lee made it pretty easy for Jarkko with all his UE's and weak attacking shots, but I liked the way Jarkko didn't try to go for too much on his passing shots and winners. He looks ready to raise the level for the next match
For those of you not reading Finnish, in an interview by YLE Nieminen told he was enjoying the match after the slow start. Jarkko was especially pleased for not losing his serve in the whole match. That helped him to concentrate on Lee's service games and gave him confidence.
Jarkko feels good about the Wimbledon courts. He likes the heavy balls which slow down the game a little bit. After reaching the third round, he's hungry for even more success in Wimby.
About the next match against Kohlschreiber, Jarkko said he's expecting a tough one. Kohlschreiber seems to be playing well on grass. Jarkko said he will try to take advantage of the fact he's beaten Kohlschreiber already three times, which should give him a mental edge.
Good to hear Jarkko feeling so confident on grass. He really looked like it, too. In the next round, the overall pace of the game will be much higher, I believe, as Kohlschreiber is able to keep up the tempo much better than Jarkko's previous opponents. Still, Jarkko should be able to mix the pace of his shots quite effectively, and if he can keep his consistency and play a little bit more aggressively overall, he should come through IMO.
