Not very impressive, but still a win.
Kubot/Marach will be very tough. They were very solid this week.

And they won 6-1, 6-2! Nice! Now they're into the final against Querrey/Isner, hopefully they can win their first Masters since Cincy 08!

Re: 2010 Cheering Thread

Very convincing scoreline!
John and Sam will be tough, as they have been on fire this week!
Cheer for twins this time, just because they need confidence more.

Re: 2010 Cheering Thread

Masters drought has ended!

I watched the match today(it's becoming a rare ocassion unfortunately because they barely stream doubles) and I thought they played well, I think they played better in the Aussie open final but still they played well today. Couple of sloppy service games of Mike(which hasn't cost them a break) but other than that almost everything looked sharp: they returned much much better than I expected them to, they really dominated the net and they played the key points very well.
I assume they played the same way against Kubot/Marach which is strange because they haven't been playing well recently.

Their inconsistency is beyond me and I'm trying to find a pattern
Bob has been tweeting all week about how much fun they've had in Rome, playing beach tennis, eating in a favourite restaurant city and stuff like that... they always say how they love Melbourne and they always do great there, I know that Bob loves London and they always do well there too...
Which brings me to the question, isn't Paris like gourmet capital of the world? And they should go to all the tourist attractions there, that way they'll have Roland Garros in the bag

Re: 2010 Cheering Thread

Apparently they have had a "traumatic"(LOL) experience in Munich or in Rome airport trying to get to Munich(I didn't understand really) so they withdrew from Munich. They play more than enough 250 events anyway, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Code:
Rough Monday. Camera bag stolen at airport, turbulence, ATM doesnt work, taxis don't take credit card: tired, hungry....scared. Hold me.
They forgot their laundry in Rome too

Re: 2010 Cheering Thread

I'm glad they pulled out of Munich. No need to play there at all. They've been playing like every week since before Indian Wells.

Great that they can have a week off.
Good luck in Madrid!
Hope Bob and Mike do their best in Paris.

Re: 2010 Cheering Thread

Yeah they finally got those poles
I don't want to jinx them obviously but it looks like they found their form and in a crucial time too.
I'm looking forward to a potential final against Nestor/Zimonjic, it could have a significance.
In this boring clay season and with no Andy playing I watched their Aussie open final long HD highlights like 5 times and some other highlights of their best matches and it still amazes me, it's as good as tennis can be for me, but I do have a strange taste
