Cool Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 1

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard Pass	Units
Bolar Bolabi	3	0	-	-	5.40
rod_steel	3	0	-	-	5.40
breadman7	2	1	-	-	3.50
dave_nz 2	1	-	-	3.50
sports freak	0	0	-	X	0.00
good_gambler	0	0	-	X	0.00
its.like.that	0	0	-	X	0.00
bossboss	2	1	-	-	-0.30
Mr Flamboyant	1	2	-	-	-2.20
Jig-Jag 1	2	-	-	-2.20
xcrap 0	3	-	-	-6.00
First week gone and the two standouts were Bolar Bolabi and rod_steel who both went a perfect 3-0. Otherwise not really much to say, first week to blow out the cobwebs and assess team form etc A few people suprisingly used their pass already, but on the other hand given team changes may not have been such a bad idea.

Prizes will be as follows for season ending winners:

1st: $750
2nd: $250
3rd: $100

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 2

Code:

Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	5	1	-	-	8.90
Bolar Bolabi	5	1	-	-	7.00
dave_nz 4	2	-	-	7.00
sports freak	3	0	-	X	5.40
bossboss	5	1	-	-	5.10
breadman7	2	1	-	X	3.50
Mr Flamboyant	4	2	-	-	3.20
Jig-Jag 2	4	-	-	-2.50
xcrap 2	4	-	-	-4.40
good_gambler	0	0	-	X	-6.00

Week 2 has now been completed which saw pretty strong performances acorss the board highlighted by the fact that there were 3 players who achieved a perfect round namely bossboss, sports freak and Mr Flamboyant. Another interesting thing you can see is that although some players' strike rates are solid, their unit return does not reflect it meaning their bigger plays are not hitting, something to consider when sending your picks in the future.

rod_steel takes sole ownserhip of first place closely followed by Bolar Bolabi and dave_nz, both again putting up consistent performances. There is still plenty of time for everyone to make their move, so I wouldn't worry for those that are sitting in the -ve at the moment. The key is being selective with your picks.

Also once again I apologise for not having the Lions-Saints line up in time, the game just slipped my mind.

Cheers

After Week 3

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
bossboss	8	1	-	-	10.50
sports freak	5	1	-	X	8.90
breadman7	5	1	-	X	8.90
dave_nz 4	2	-	X	7.00
rod_steel	6	3	-	-	6.70
Bolar Bolabi	6	3	-	-	2.90
Mr Flamboyant	4	5	-	-	-2.80
xcrap 3	6	-	-	-4.70
Jig-Jag 2	7	-	-	-8.50
good_gambler	0	6	-	X	-12.00
There has been a real change in the leaderboard this week, with both bossboss and breadman7 rocketing up the table on the back of their 3/3 performance and in the process bossboss becomes our third different leader in the first three weeks of the competition. sports freak's solid start to the season sees him in second spot.

Cheers

After Week 4

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard Pass	Units
dave_nz 7	2	-	X	12.40
rod_steel	8	4	-	-	10.20
breadman7	6	3	-	X	8.60
bossboss	9	3	-	-	8.30
sports freak	6	3	-	X	6.70
Bolar Bolabi	7	5	-	-	0.70
xcrap 6	6	-	-	0.70
Mr Flamboyant	4	5	-	X	-2.80
Jig-Jag 5	7	-	-	-3.10
good_gambler	1	8	-	X	-12.30
Standout performers this week were dave_nz, xcrap and Jig-Jag all going a perfect 3-0. dave's effort also sees him go top of the table meaning that is the 4th different leader we have had in the first 4 weeks of the competition!

Note that with the ANZAC day league and AFL games being played, I will have the lines for those two games up, allowing people to make a pick on any of the two games should they choose to.

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 5

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	11	4	-	-	15.60
dave_nz 8	4	-	X	10.20
breadman7	7	5	-	X	8.30
sports freak	7	5	-	X	6.40
bossboss	10	5	-	-	6.10
Bolar Bolabi	10	5	-	-	6.10
xcrap 6	6	-	X	0.70
Jig-Jag 5	7	-	X	-3.10
Mr Flamboyant	4	8	-	X	-8.80
good_gambler	3	9	-	X	-12.60
As they did in Week 1, both rod_steel and Bolar Bolabi topped the charts for this week with a perfect 3-0 round. Rod now moves back on top of the leaderboard as a result. The key here is about being selective and it looks like many of you have worked it out by taking the time to go through the card to ensure you pick the 3 strongest plays as seen by the strong results.

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 6

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	14	4	-	-	21.00
breadman7	10	5	-	X	13.70
dave_nz 10	5	-	X	11.80
sports freak	9	6	-	X	8.00
bossboss	10	5	-	X	6.10
xcrap 9	6	-	X	6.10
Bolar Bolabi	11	7	-	-	5.80
Jig-Jag 7	8	-	X	0.40
good_gambler	4	11	-	X	-16.70
Another solid round had by most with 3 players achieving a perfect round being breadman7, rod_steel & xcrap . With back to back perfect rounds Rod extends his lead at the top of the table with breadman7 now moving into outright second spot.

Interestingly the majority of you have now used your pass, with no player yet to use their "wildcard" option.

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 7

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	17	4	-	-	26.40
breadman7	11	7	-	X	13.40
dave_nz 12	6	-	X	13.40
bossboss	13	5	-	X	11.50
sports freak	11	7	-	X	7.70
Bolar Bolabi	13	8	-	-	5.50
xcrap 10	8	-	X	3.90
Jig-Jag 8	10	-	X	-1.80
good_gambler	4	14	-	X	-22.70

Week 7 of the competition has been completed and there were 2 players who achieved a perfect round this week being rod_steel and bossboss. Rod's third consecutive perfect round and fourth in total this competition has now blown this competiton wide open as he has built a dominating lead over the rest of the field. bossboss achieved his third perfect week of the competiton showing he is one of the more consistent players in the competiton.

A lot of people achieved a 2-1 result however unfortunately the weighting of their stake let them down. Still obviously a long way to go in the competition.

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 8

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	18	6	-	-	24.20
bossboss	16	5	-	X	16.90
breadman7	12	9	-	X	11.20
sports freak	13	8	-	X	11.20
Bolar Bolabi	15	9	-	-	9.00
dave_nz 12	9	-	X	7.40
xcrap 10	11	-	X	-2.10
Jig-Jag 9	12	-	X	-4.00
good_gambler	4	17	-	X	-28.70
This week was clearly the worst performing week by the group with the majority going negative for the round. However bossboss was the only strong performer of the round going back to back perfect rounds which now sees him jump a couple of places and take sole claim to the number 2 spot. He is clearly the AFL man of the group.

Looking for people to bounce back strongly in the upcoming round starting tomorrow night.

Cheers

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 9

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	19	8	-	-	22.00
bossboss	18	6	-	X	18.50
breadman7	14	10	-	X	14.70
sports freak	15	9	-	X	14.70
Bolar Bolabi	17	10	-	-	8.70
dave_nz 14	10	-	X	7.10
xcrap 12	12	X	X	4.90
Jig-Jag 10	14	-	X	-6.20
good_gambler	6	18	-	X	-27.10
This was the first week that nobody had a perfect round. The standout of this week was however xcrap who bit the bullet first by expertly using the wildcard option and it paid dividends as he ended up 2-1 with a +7.00 unit week, which has now brought him back into the race.

Both bossboss and breadman7 continuing to perform strongly and with our leader rod_steel registering back to back negative rounds, the competition is once again wide open with his lead cut right back.

Cheers

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 10

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	21	9	-	-	23.60
bossboss	18	9	-	X	15.50
sports freak	17	10	-	X	14.40
breadman7	16	11	-	X	12.50
Bolar Bolabi	19	11	-	-	10.30
xcrap 15	12	X	X	10.30
dave_nz 16	11	-	X	6.80
Jig-Jag 10	17	-	X	-12.20
good_gambler	6	21	-	X	-33.10
Week 10 saw xcrap build on his wildcard week last week and achieve a perfect round this week, being the only player to do so. This now sees him back into contention for the overall competition.

With both bossboss and breadman7 slipping up this week, Rod grabs back the advantage he had over the past month and continues to lead the competition.

Cheers

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	23	10	-	-	25.20
bossboss	19	11	-	X	15.20
sports freak	19	11	-	X	14.10
dave_nz 18	12	-	X	10.30
xcrap 17	13	X	X	10.00
Bolar Bolabi	20	13	-	-	10.00
breadman7	17	13	-	X	8.40
Jig-Jag 10	17	-	X	-18.20
good_gambler	7	23	-	X	-33.40
Nobody was able to achieve a perfect score this week, with dave_nz toping the charts with a solid 2-1 +3.50 unit round which sees him move into outright 4th position. With the majority of the players scoring a negative round this week, rod has shot out to another handy advantage as we close in on mid season.

Remember that even though this round is a split one for AFL the competition will continue with the following week, starting 22nd June being a bye round for the competition given there will be only 3 AFL games played that weekend.

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
rod_steel	24	12	-	-	24.90

Jig-Jag 10	20	-	X	-24.20
good_gambler	7	26	-	X	-39.40
This week saw both bossboss and sports freak achieve perfect rounds of 3-0 and in the process slashing Rod`s previously commanding lead on top of the table.

Please remember that next week beginning 22nd June is a BYE week for the competition therefore meaning the competition will resume on the round beginning Friday 29 June.

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard Pass	Units
rod_steel	24	12	-	X	24.90
sports freak	25	11	-	X	24.90

Bolar Bolabi	22	14	-	X	13.50
dave_nz 21	15	-	X	9.70
breadman7	20	16	X	X	6.70
xcrap 17	19	X	X	-2.00
Week 13 saw sports freak continue his good form and register back to back perfect rounds which sees him move to joint first on the table as our previous leader rod_steel elected to use his pass option.

As you can see it is still a conjested leaderboard therefore it really is anybody's competition to win as we approach the final third of the season.

Re: Rugby League/AFL Tipping Standings

After Week 14

Code:
Name W	L Wildcard	Pass	Units
sports freak	26	13	-	X	22.70
rod_steel	24	15	-	X	18.90
bossboss	24	15	X	X	16.20
dave_nz 23	16	X	X	14.90
Bolar Bolabi	24	15	-	X	12.60
breadman7	20	19	X	X	0.70
Week 14 saw dramatic movements in the leaderboard where after 9 weeks we have a new sole leader in sports freak after Rod's worst round of the competition sees him slip down to second and blows the competition wide open. dave_nz after successfully using his wildcard option is back in the hunt.

Unfortunately 3 players have dropped out of the competition, therefore I have had to reassess the prizes and decided only the top 2 placed players at the end of the competition will receive the cash prize given we only now have 6 participating. Amounts will however remain the same for the top 2.

Bolar Bolabi	26	16	-	X	16.10
bossboss	24	18	X	X	10.20
breadman7	22	20	X	X	4.20
Although nobody achieved a perfect round this week, it was a fairly solid round had my most. by achieving a small positive result for the round rod_steel reclaims top spot but has sports freak and dave_nz right on his heels.
