Talking NRL Round 24

Brisbane over Bulldogs @ $3.50

Dogs are pretty much stuck in 2nd place... 6 points from 1st, 6 clear of 2nd. They are not going anywhere.
Therefore how bad will they want this game?

Cannot remember the last time Brisbane were given 8.5 points starts. Back to pre-1992......Maybe 1999 when they were last half way through the season.

Yes I am crazy, and in denial and all the rest!!!!
But we will see!

My signature sucked so I made this one instead.

Bulldgos didnt have anything to play for last week and we saw the performance they gave then, I think its a bit of wishful thinking on your part, but best of luck

I felt the same way with Storm last week and they proved me wrong - so agree.

Persistence has paid off for you GG! You're a genius! Meantime I'll be eating crow for a few days after all but writing off the Broncos for 2006! But I'll happily eat crow til the cows come home if they continue to play tough and win ..

Re: NRL Round 24

Couple of leans for the weekend ..

Cowboys vs Newcastle .. total points under 43.5 .. Stack of marquee players out for both teams .. tough to see where either team is going to get a heck of a lot of tries from ..

Manly vs Souths .. total points over 46.5 .. Just a game that seems likely to have a lot of action .. If it's a dry Sunday at Brookvale you'd have to tip Manly to score a few tries .. and Souths are usually good for two or three as well ..

Small change the Cronulla play is now Cronulla ML / Taranaki ML (-114), same stake.

I was thinking about that.

I won't be on Warriors at all and I hope Melbourne smash em...
Also Storm have won 10 in a row (this season alone) at home.
Is resting your players really the best thing?
Maybe play them almost "as bench players" but resting players can be dangerous as you often see with teams coming off the BYE.

In saying that though, the best thing for them could be a loss this weekend, to realise you can't get complacent.

Anyway GL!

Re: NRL Round 24

Cowboys over Oldcastle @ $2.05

These are just my hopes/wishes/thoughts:

Cowboys lose tonight their season is over - mathematically/physically/mentally/emotionally/mechanically.

If they win tonight all of a sudden they find themselves 2 points out of the eight with 2 weeks to go.

Canberra and Newcastle have a BYE in hand, therefore they will both be on 28 points.
However the Cowboys can also finish on 28 points, as they play Newcastle tonight, then Souths and Parra in R26 with Thurston back.

Canberra's remaining 2 games are against Melbourne and Sharks... definately no certainty of winning either.

Newcastle play Cowboys tonight, then Penrith next week... who are also in the hunt.

Add to that Parra play Roosters tomorrow, Brisbane, then Cowboys.. they are no certainty of winning more than 1 game there.

St George are also part of this as they play Wests, Sharks and Roosters. Should be able to win 2 of those and seal the deal but they are in shit form.

Another thing.. if Manly lose against Souths tomorrow, they are no guarantee of being there next month as they play Bulldogs, then Melbourne to finish off.

I guess the whole point of this is.. there whole season is riding on this match.
Surely playing up here in front of 20,000odd and against Joey :retard: less Knights they should be able to pull this off.

Virtually no team outside the top 2 are safe. Maybe Brisbane also.

In my opinion the Cowboys can finish 5th/6th/7th.

This is just a quick write up of what I had down.
Then scheduled maintenence came up and I lost everything.

My signature sucked so I made this one instead.
