NRL Premiers Market

ST GEORGE-ILLAWARRA 6.00
PARRAMATTA EELS 7.00
SYDNEY ROOSTERS 7.00
BRISBANE BRONCOS 11.00
NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS 11.00
NORTH QLD COWBOYS 11.00
THE BULLDOGS 11.00
MANLY SEA EAGLES 13.00
WESTS TIGERS 13.00
MELBOURNE STORM 15.00
CRONULLA SHARKS 23.00
PENRITH PANTHERS 23.00
NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS 41.00
CANBERRA RAIDERS 61.00
SOUTH SYDNEY 61.00

Well if anybody has any opinions I'd be interested in them. Personally I believe the value is with the Cowboys and Knights at $11. I think the top 3 are no chance. St.George have Matt Head out publicly stated for the first month but I have heard that he could be out for a lot longer possibly the season. My Roosters are ridiculously valued at equal second faves. Whilst most people think we have recruited well in getting Anasta & Harrison I was pretty much appalled by our recruitment and retention for this season. The loss of Jason Cayless will leave us very weak up front with only Morley being a premiership class front rower. Heaven help us if he gets injured or suspended(highly likely). Of the top 3 I Parra probably have the most chance but I feel Brian Smith commitment (he didn't to up to Parras launch) may not be as great as it could be considering he has been shafted for next season.

Re: NRL Premiers Market

For value i think the Knights and the Storm.

But I personally cant see any teams beating Parra or St George in the final.

Re: NRL Premiers Market

Storm are value I thought they may have trouble replacing Matt Orford but looks like Cooper Cronk might be up to it. As for Saints if Matt Head is out for extended period then I think they will struggle too make the top 4 with Chris Sheppard at half as he is a very average player and not nearly as good as Head.

Re: NRL Premiers Market

I think playing Hornby there again would be alot better option. Greenshields has shown he is more than reliable fullback.

I also hear that SBW might be out for the season, done his knee again. Just a rumour though.

Re: NRL Premiers Market

A little "birdie" tells me a few Raiders players before game one had a crack at themselves making the top 8.

Warriors for the spoon is my only future action so far, I just don't see any decent value in the 8 this season.

Re: NRL Premiers Market

Newcastle have shortened to NRL favourites at $7.08, talk about a knee jerk reaction from the weekends game. They were basically playing a Canberra PL team.

Still huge value for the Storm at $14, 8 other teams have shorter odds which is completely wrong. Id have Storm in the top 3 teams that can win the premiership for mind.

Knights wouldve been a good hedge at the start of the season, think they will go all the way now IMO,but the other couple of teams that look scary are Cowboys n Dragons if they get going!!!!Storms always start hard n come down to earth later on the season!!!!Also Panthers are aboslutely no Pushovers in with a real chance, some times it comes to desperation in the end and how long a team has been in a drought, also matchups wise can be another little minor thing!!!!

Nice post SF, agree with you. The Panthers have surprised me ennormously, I thought theyd be around the bottom 4 of the ladder. As you said St Geroge will comegood when they get their starts back, theyve had a horrible run with injuries.
