State of Origin 2

I will take anything above 1.0001 for the mighty QLD'ers to beat this joke of a NSW side AGAIN.

My signature sucked so I made this one instead.

Why is that BG? Are you a NSW fan?

I do not think the QLD side is as good as they have been made to look. The NSW selectors have helped a HUGE amount buy changing sides every game or picking piss poor sides in the beginning. I think this is the best looking NSW side in a looooong time, but they still have their halves all wrong. Campese should be 5/8th and halfback not sure but Pearce is just too overrated. My opinion is it is great to be a QLD fan and this current side is great, but when you see some of these NSW sides what exactly have we to be proud of for beating them?

Re: State of Origin 2

What do you think of Captain Kurt on the bench btw?

Some of the QLD'ers reactions were priceless when asked about it.

Very good move

I have always been of the belief that when it comes to representative selection you pick the best players in each position.

Hayne is the best fullback in NSW yet he got stuck out on the wing. Gidley's main value comes from his ability to play in various positions which is why he is the best utility player in the country. Therefore I have no problem with him starting from the bench

State of Origin is no longer a contest. QLD have better depth, quality and most importantly a more passionate about the concept than NSW. I agree that NSW selection and their continual chopping and changing of players over the past few years has not helped but in the end it's not like it really has mattered in the washup.

The only question I have is who is accounatable for NSW's performance? It's clearly not the selectors Otherwise they would have been sacked 2 years ago.

I read somewhere that Gidley may start tonight.

I think putting Hayne at fullback and Gidley on the bench was a good move but having a captain on the bench is a little strange. Someone on the field starting should be captain imo.

Re: State of Origin 2

As I said the concept of State of Origin should no longer exist. No point in it whatsoever

Re: State of Origin 2

Nah, it's good to make money on. That line should have been at 14+ IMO.

The next one should be at 14+, but because it's a dead match the bookies will keep the odds around the same as people will back NSW and you can clean up on QLD again. No matter if it's a dead rubber, QLD will be out to inflict more pain on the Blues to get the psychological advantage for next year.
