Here are the main parts of the translation... For Peggy and all other Jonas fans
Do you think it is nicer to play doubles than singles?
J.B.: What should I answer? It is a lot of fun playing both. I think generally I am more a team player, but it is also great to be alone on the court and to finish a match. When you are alone on the court, this is a fantastic feeling, almost like at a soccer match.
Is it a problem for you with the heat in Australia?
J.B.: Yes, today it was for example more than 35 degrees, so this is a big problem and it is difficult to play.
Who do you think will be the next Swedish No. 1?
J.B.: Everyone says it will be Pim Pim and I also think so. The only problem I see is that Pim Pim came up at the same time like Roger Federer and right now I don´t see anyone who can stop Roger. He plays in another league and even Agassi was looking like a junior against him.
Why did you stop playing doubles together with Todd Woodbridge?
J.B.: He did not want to play as many tournaments as I wanted to, last year we played only 13 tournaments. He lives in Australia and it is difficult for him to go to all tournaments. And if you don´t play that often, your game won´t be at the same level anymore. Unfortunately it is like this, so it was a natural seperation for both of us.
How does it work with Max Mirnyi?
J.B.: It has worked very fine. This is the 4th tournament we play together and we get to know eachother better and better. We have decided to play together in 2005 and then we will see.
Jonas, what will you do the day you stop playing tennis?
J.B.: That´s a good question. There are many things I could imagine to do. I am very interested in mental training, so this could be something. It could also be interesting to work with Swedish tennis talents and to see how they develope. When will I stop playing tennis?
I have said to play at least until 2006, then we will see...
