Ostrava Challenger

I am a Marcos fan as well, so cool to chat tennis here.

Ostrava Challenger (starting 27/Apr/2009) seems to be Marcos next tournament. This tournamnet can give him the best start in the clay season, few matches, few wins and 75 points to raise him 15 to 20 places. Good luck Marcos!

*He has also expressed interest to play the 20th edition of the Estoril Open, has made application for the wild card.

Re: Ostrava Challenger

Pame Marcos!!!!
It would be nicer to see him play the Rhodes Challenger that week, but I guess he wants to hit the clay

Marcos Baghdatis Forever!

Through the good and the bad, always my #1, no matter what the rankings say

Re: Ostrava Challenger

I think Photos Kallias will participate in that challenger, as a qualifier.

Re: Ostrava Challenger

Marcos has been drawn with Lukasz Kubot in the first round. Think that´s an up-coming player, but will not be any problems for Baghdatis.

Hahaha Kubot sucks, he's only good in doubles sometimes.

He will play tommorow in doubles with De Chaunac, while he will most probably play his singles game in Tuesday.

Re: Ostrava Challenger

Marcos lost 6-4 6-1 to Kubot.

That is really not a good loss.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Marcos

Don't see him winning anything at clay, but let's hope so.

Re: Ostrava Challenger

It was on clay, but still
Marcos
Just go to the US now and play on hard. Skip the clay. I'd rather see him win matches at two US challengers than play RG and lose early again
And then he can go back to Europe for the grass season

Re: Ostrava Challenger

Can someone change the topic's title to 'Clay Season', since the Ostrava Challenger didn't last long?

Marcos now travels to Serbia where he will play the Serbia Open in May 4-10, Belgrade, Serbia.

The Czech Republic's world number 19 Radek Stepanek and Cypriot wildcard entry Marcos Baghdatis, the 2006 Australian Open finalist, are expected to be Djokovic's toughest challengers.

Just double click the title and then type in whatever you want
