Marcos will play next week in Athens

Marcos Baghdatis Forever!

Re: Marcos in Athens

yes just wanted to open a thread for the clay season

anyway good luck to him, although it's clay he should be one of the favourites there with his (almost) home advantage and probably not too strong competition

Re: Marcos in Athens

Unfortunately Marcos has withdrawn from Athens due to an injury he suffered during his match against Mathieu in Miami. He will be out of action for two weeks

Now that might ruin Photos' chance of a doubles WC too
Maybe he can team up with a Greek player though

Anyways, poor Baggy. So often injured

Re: Marcos in Athens

Fortunately it seems that the injury is not a serious one and he will be over it after a few more days of rest

Re: Marcos in Athens

oops -__-'

Well, I guess this is just because he cant focus on challengers really while trying to improve his ranking again, right?

Poor people in Athens though

Djokovic
Davydenko, Baghdatis, Tipsarevic, Wawrinka, Gulbis, Troicki, Kyrgios
Sharapova, Jankovic, Zvonareva, Kirilenko, Vesnina, Dokic, Bacsinszky, Jovanovski, Pironkova

Re: Marcos in Athens

That's disappointing, I'm glad it's at least only a small injury.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: Marcos in Athens

It seems, Markos moved to Las Vengas (after Maimi) to be trained a Adidas development camp under Darren Cahill. There are romous that he will change coach again and that his coperation with Team Lagradere has ended.
