Re: Marcos in Davis Cup

I watched the first match too and Rares didn't play too bad but he hit loads of unforced errors at times.
I wonder why they didn't allocate Kallias to play against Mammoun instead of Rares.

What did you expect? There is absolutely no chance he ever wins Davis Cup without a second top 100 player playing for Cyprus. To win Wimbledon there is a very small chance like 0.5%. If he keeps playing like this he won't come close to winning anything.

Re: why isn't marcos playing for cyprus

Now it's 3-0
He said that he wouldn't play and I understand his decision. Kallias has a serious injury and he can't play. Without him, Baggy would win singles but Cyprus would lose doubles. But then again the tie is on clay in Portugal, so who knows if Marcos would even win both singles matches especially since he's in horrible form. Plus, Marcos needs some time off to find his form again and he really needed a rest since he's played almost every week since the beginning of the year . He's only had two weeks off this whole year (not counting two week tournaments where he lost in the first week)
