Question TT Poll: Lucky losers

Just answer yes or no to the following question:

Should we use lucky losers in TT after the first round?

After we get a result from this poll, we can decide what to do next with this issue or do we have to do anything with it anymore.

Re: TT Poll: Lucky losers

I think you need to rephrase the option. We won't have any lucky losers in the first round anyway as we don't have any qualifiers. Lucky losers can only enter on the second round after having lost their first game in the first round.

So should we have lucky losers after the second round? I say No

2006 Acapulco singles
2006 Costa Do Sauipe singles

2009 Halle doubles with Bavaria100
2008 Dubai doubles with Bavaria100

2007 Costa Do Sauipe doubles w Bavaria100
2007 Vina Del Mar doubles w Bavaria100
2006 Acapulco doubles w Rosie
2006 Buenos Aires doubles w Rosie

Re: TT Poll: Lucky losers

I think we should have lucky losers...That would be the highest scoring loser of the past round...For two reasons: First, it gives more glance if you win a tournament without having walkovers. Second, if you get a very good score and still lose the match, you are rewarded by getting into the next round as a lukcy losers.

I don't think you should random pick a lucky loser (as happened last week in Dubai) nor by ranking nor the opponent of the one who does not send in his picks but by highest score.

..

No LL for me. If a player lose in first round he is also out of the tournament.

Re: TT Poll: Lucky losers

Only 27 votes from 82 listed players, that's just 33% of all ranked players.

I still think there should be no Lucky Losers after the second round as it demeans the game. The winner should be decided by merit and not by chance after already having lost in an earlier round.

As the originator of this game DeccyB123 needs to make an executive decision for the good of the game as this poll is inconclusive at the moment will only a 1/3 turn out.

Re: TT Poll: Lucky losers

that's what I think too. A winner who already lost in first round would be strange.
