I think he went away for a few days which was why he couldn't run Indian Wells

2. Deciding a tie. Labamba's picked a good point in countbacks being more important than tiebreaks. . Therefore he has made me change my mind to his way of thinking. So then 4 of the board have so far voted for tie-break, then countback as far as necessary, followed by tie-breaks as far as necessary, followed by ranking as last option. That's solved.

3. Ranking System. 2 of the board haver gone for any 18 tournaments. 2 of the board have gone for mandatory 4 GS plus best other 14 tournaments. So I guess we will have to go with which ever DeccyB123 decides on.
Sorry, been away for a week but back now

I agree with all of the above, and with mandatory GS's.

Re: Tennis Tipping | Managers Thread

Now that the board have decided on the ranking system of 4 mandatory Grand Slams plus best other 14 tournaments, how should we deal with players missing the Slams? Will they get a 0 for their ranking or can they replace it with another tournament? I think it would be fair to give them the chance of replacing it with their next best result. This might be an unnesessary question, but I just wanted to make this clear for everybody...

I think we should have the replacement. If we used ranking to make entries, it could be different. 0 point is given when a player who has a ranking to entry directly doesn't play the tournament. And it won't occur with our system of entry.

Re: Tennis Tipping | Managers Thread

Sorry about that but I just looked at the calender and seen I am away that week. Sorry about that I don't think I can do any other tournament because Queens would be quite popular and I think you should let someone else run it, and the same for Wimbledon. Sorry for troubling you.

Hi, just let us know if you are able to run any other tournaments - the more people who can do it the better

Great Britain already has a team in the QF winning their 1st round tie - the team was me and Rosie. I assume we'll be able to change the team for the next round - if so, there'll be lots of competition for the British team with greatkingrat, invu2day, alansk, ivokarlovicfan, Aiken Drum and Duncan (sorry if I've forgotten anyone) all eligible for the team.

At some point over the summer i would be able to run one of the tournaments that take place in Europe if that is okay with whoever is in overall control of this. One of the tournaments in the UK (queens or wimbledon) would be ideal, but if they are too popular then it might be best to let someone more experienced run them. If not them, then probably one of the other tournaments in europe for those weeks

I would also be eligable for the davis cup team, but with only a couple of average tournaments so far i doubt i would get in the team

Re: Tennis Tipping | Managers Thread
