Re: Ask the board Thread

Hi I have a question, a player that won a slam and is Top 20 qualify for the World Tour Finals like in the ATP?

Re: Ask the board Thread

I'm a little bit unsecure, if I do it right. Can someone please tell me, if my calculated result is right!

PTS in the Marita vs Ricardo Soler Match:
Marita: 46 64 63
Ricardo Soler: 64 46 63

Result was: 62 46 76; So Ricardo Soler has the right order of 3 sets, so I suppos he won. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

How long do you have to be out for to be eligible for PR?

Re: Ask the board Thread

Yes it is. You can post your change in the ranking threads.

I'm not sure how we deal with a possible restriction if it is accepted by vote but at the moment who can change it only by posting it.

Re: Ask the board Thread

I accidentally deleted a player of the entry list in Plantation (who was on it at the first deadline).

What can I do now? Have him as LL#1? Or are there other options?

Re: Ask the board Thread

Yes, if the draw's been posted - the person left out will have to be ALT No 1 (or LL No 1 as I've just looked at the thread)

Re: Ask the board Thread

Hey,

I might have made a mistake in the Brisbane doubles final. It came down to PTS and I declared bry17may/catgamer as winner, but Gallina pointed out to me that might have been wrong. So, please, can you have a look at it?
Tennis Tipping #2 - Brisbane - Congrats CoolyBri and bry17may/catgamer!!

The real result was Hewitt 61 46 63. I just checked the rules and now I'm almost more confused (rule 4.2.3 in TB that is). Not sure if a) and b) apply, as all 4 picked the wrong winner...

Thanks in advance!

Re: Ask the board Thread

Hi guys, been away from the game for awhile but glad to be back in 2014. I'm playing in the 2B Futures this week and I felt like it was a bit unnecessary to play all 32 matches, especially when so many players are guys who nobody has heard about. Most everyone just guessed at them which is how TT shouldn't be played. I know futures aren't played much but maybe we can look in to a way to limit the OOP when it is too excessively large, especially in a qualifying draw for a low-level TT challenger. Thanks

PTS Rules:
a) Correct order of sets -> prediction of the correct winner of one or more sets:
o 1 set – 1 point
o 2 sets – 4 points
o 3 sets – 7 points
o 4 sets – 10 points
o 5 sets – 13 points
b) Correct scorelines -> prediction of the exact score of a set won by a player:
o 1 set – 3 points
o 2 sets – 6 points
o 3 sets – 9 points
o 4 sets – 12 points
o 5 sets – 15 points
Both players picked wrong winner: the player gets 2 points for each set they give to the correct winner.

Final score: Hewitt 61 46 63 => Federer 16 64 36

Sheva
Federer 6-3 7-6
1 Correct order of set = 1 pts

Allez-Alejo
FEDERER 67 63 64
1 Correct score (64) + 2 Correct order of set + Set given to the correct winner = 3 + 4 + 2 = 9 pts

Total team = 10 pts

bry17may
Federer 76 62
1 Correct Order of Set = 1 pts

catgamer
FEDERER 64 36 63
2 Correct scoreline + Set given to the correct winner = 6 + 2 = 8 pts

Total team = 9 pts.

So Sheva/Allez-Alejo won.

Re: Ask the board Thread

Shouldnot sheva and bry17may gat 1 point for correct order of sets - 1 set, actually Federer won the second set.
