Best to move on from it all but it has to be said the treatment of Chowdahead is shocking. The ban is pathetic, it's a good job I wasn't awarded one. I'd refuse to play the game again. Can't even make a point these days.

In american football there is a rule that players cannot touch or even threaten the referees. If they do that is an automatic disqualification from the match (irrespective of the situation and also irrespective whether the players immediately regret it) it is not only automatic disqualification from the match, but also automatic ban for a few matches (irrespective whether the player is sorry). I cannot imagine any sport/game where the governing body do not protect the referee/manager.

The board did what they had to do.

Over here if a player have a problem then he/she can ask the board to investigate the story. What he cannot do is to explicitely/implicitely accuse anybody in the thread. Trust in the manager is a cornerstone of this game, if you question the management then you question the game.

I was on the board's side mostly, but I agree it was a bit harsh to ban them mid tournament. Of course though, Chowdahead could have dropped the issue after a few posts, but no, he had to fight for his pride.

In the end we weren't really discussing much - everyone knew there was no cheating, however both sides had to make sure they come out the less embarrassed of the two. They were always going to win that department

may i ask a practical tip here in this thread.

it's on adjustment of time zone setting of this site. i myself set it to CEST, now would like to set it back to EDT.

embarassing. i forgot totally how set was done at which page. looking for the page where set can be done in vain.

would somebody teach me how to set timezone here?

Where would be the proper place on mtf to recruit for TT Davis Cup 2016? The Qatari TF is looking to recruit players for our team to contend in Davis Cup. Right now I am the only Qatari eligable player but the Minister of sport in our country is looking to give Visas to any interested TT ranked players who for whatever reason are not among the top 4 of their birth country or like myself represent a country that does not have any other TT ranked players.

Advice is appreciated for the 2 situation below.

There are 2 TT game players, each referrred A and B. Player A plays both singles and doubles, B doubles only.

#1 Is the pick(s) supposed to be one, or same for singles game and doubles game? Or can we send different picks for singles and or doubles respectively.

#2 While player A should submit picks for singles, can A submit picks for doubles? Or only B is supposed to turn it in?

#3 While player A submitted picks for singles first, and later submitted picks (different picks from previously submitted for singles) for doubles. In this situation, the pair believe that A is responsible to submit, B is just do nothing. In this case at doubles, the pick sent by A should be rejected and unless B should turn it in, is this pair processed as failure to submit the pick?

This is the second situation. Two of the game players both play singles and doubles as a pair.

#4 How many picks will the game manager expect to receive from the pair, picks for singles and for doubles altogether? Three, 2 for singles each and 1 for doubles as a pair? Or one, pair must submit only 1 picks.

Thanks for your attention.

As long as you play either singles or doubles you should send. There is no possible situation where one player sends for both himself and his partner.

So a game manager always expects exactly two sets of picks (one each) from a doubles team, regardless of whether they are also playing singles, since if you play both that one set of picks count for both singles and doubles.

Unless, you clearly differentiate that your first pick is for singles and the second one is for doubles. There is an agreement that if players send different picks for singles and doubles (in one PM) then the singles one counts.

(just to avoid your next question: Why did I used your first set of picks)

Anyone around to post the diffs for Aptos tonight? I have job interview and I'm not sure what time I'll be back. Don't wanna keep players waiting for their diffs. I've filled in all singles sent so far, just need someone to do the doubles.

Just PM me and I'll send over all the diffs sent in so far.

What does RSD mean?

This was the match - 1:1 tripler (JPN) vs. FERNANDO CORDEIR (ARG) SR: 0:0 RSD SR1

in manerbio i have one player commited with 2 partners who are both in the main draw. now i have to remove one team. do i replace it with the highest ranked team who played qualification (and did not qualify) or do i replace it with the team which had the best score in QFR?

In Rotterdam FUT, 6 singles players did not sent with a match where both players didn't send
There was only one ALT and I put him on this match. I gave a BYE to the first seeded player (#5) who hadn't one yet and put his opponent (who sent) against the ALT.
I thought that was OK but now I'm wondering : since it's a 2 days round, is it really the right way ?

Thank you ;)
