Re: Ask the board Thread

I have just been informed that I happen to be leading something that's called 'The challengers race'.

Can I get a link to that, and an explanation of what does this race mean?

You can find the Challenger Race here:

TT Challenger Race Rankings 2013: Final Standings

And you can also fin it here:

http://tennistipping.p.ht/mttlr/index.html
In this case you have to select the Challenger Race option in the left hand side option bar.

At the end of the year, there is an ATP Challenger Finals. It's like the ATP World Tour Finals, but for the top players in the Challenger standings.

The MTF TT Challenger race are the standings. The Top 8 in singles and the top 16 in doubles make it to the final tournament.

Tennis Tipping
[Singles - 3]: 2015 (Eckental CH); 2013 (Rimouski CH, Johannesburg CH)
[Doubles - 8 (all with tealeaves)]: 2016 (Chennai ATP250); 2015 (Kaohsiung CH, Genova CH); 2014 (Szczecin CH, Guadalajara CH); 2013 (Cherbourg CH, Bergamo CH, Poznan FUT)

Re: Ask the board Thread

I notice that bye is banned (he committed to Marburg CH). He's not in banned users announcements, so I don't know the date of unban. Should I remove him from Entry Lists?

I have 2 LLs from FQR, who didn't send any picks in Q - do I order them by ranking?

Re: Ask the board Thread

What exactly IS a special exemption? Having read over the rules I know that they exist but can't quite figure out what they are.

Also, are the rankings worked out in the exact same way as the ATP ranking?(best 18 scores count, mandatory to play certain tournaments)

Tennis Tipping:
Singles: 159
Doubles: 140
Doubles titles:
Itajai CH 2014 w/Redkop
ATP Delray Beach 2015 w/Samib_187

Re: Ask the board Thread

It's almost the same as in real ATP. If you aren't in the MD of an event in the next week, so you have to play qualies, you can be SE for this tournament when you're still playing singles in your tournament before during the qualies weekend. In real ATP it is like this because you can't be at two places at the same time.
In TT you have to ask the manager before final deadline to get an SE. If there are more than two players it's decided by ranking (as in ATP). You may only ask for tournaments in the category (Fut/CH, ATP250, ATP500)

Yes, 18 best scores. Grand slam MDs are mandatory. WTF is 19th event.

TT Singles: W 2014: Heilbronn I; 2013: Marseille, Sarasota; 2012: Blois Fut QF 2012: USOpen

TT Singles ranking: 73 (High: 52)

TT Doubles: W 2016: Madrid; 2015: Wimbledon, Gstaad, Moscow, Sarasota, Fergana; 2013: Winston-Salem, Sarajevo; 2012: Antalya, Tiburon; 2011: Izmir CH (w/ appleGirl); SF 2013, 2012: USOpen (w/ appleGirl);

TT Doubles ranking: 37 (High: 10)

Re: Ask the board Thread

Okay, another question. Say something crops up during a week that means you're going to be unavailable for the rest of the tournament, do you have to withdraw?

So for example I reach R3 and then suddenly get an emergency can I message the manager and say "Pick the first listed player in straight sets 6-0 6-0 for every match"

Thinking more for doubles, wouldn't want to let a partner down.

Tennis Tipping:
Singles: 159
Doubles: 140
Doubles titles:
Itajai CH 2014 w/Redkop
ATP Delray Beach 2015 w/Samib_187

You can't ask anyone else to do picks, only you can send them.
The only option - your partner logs in to your account and sends the picks.
