Hi, you forgot to compare the number of games (game difference in TT is in fact game difference and number of games)

So Australian Dream should win on GD for the Quarterfinal match

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012

Quiron: Evans 6-4 6-3 = +5 games difference and 19 games played
Australian Dream: Evans 6-3 7-5 = +5 game difference and 21 games played

result: 4-6 7-6 6-1 = +4 game difference and 30 games played

Quiron: -> 1 game difference + 11 games played =12
Australian Dream:-> 1 game difference + 9 games played=10

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012

I think you forgot to add games played

Quiron: Evans 6-4 6-3 games difference = +5 total games = 19
Australian Dream: Evans 6-3 7-5 games difference = +5 total games = 21

RESULT 4-6 7-6 6-1 games difference = +4 total games = 30

Quiron: 1+11 = 12
Australian Dream: 1+9 = 10

Australian Dream wins 10 to 12

Boarder beat me!

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012

I have a follow-up question for future reference.

If the games difference for the QF had been equal. Can Adey use SR16 PTS as a tiebreaker?
A) Isn't the 2nd round seperate and would be just SR1 to SR8? Would only be SR16 for doubles.

B) Isn't the 2nd round just one PTS for SR1? Or is that manager's discretion?

I think the result of the match would have gone to higher ranked player because everything was even.

You are right

The match with a difference was a PTS match for doubles only

Players in AO Q R3 aren't allowed to play in Sheffield qualies, right?

I think they can play in both. They only have to withdraw if they make the main draw of the US Open.

I was looking at last years US Open and corresponding Challenger #35a Como.

The following players lost in Q R3 US Open and played in Q 1R Como

arapongant
Sergyu18
RHB1993

For Q 3R losers, if they go for LL spot, they have to withdraw from challenger. Once the Challenger draw is made, once a player sends picks, he/she can no longer apply of LL of the grand slam.

It's different here. In the US Open the qualies finished on Friday night CET time before the draws of qualies in Como were made, but in AO the qualies will finish on Saturday after the draws have been made and after people send their picks to Sheffield so they don't know if they won or not and if they have chances to get in as LL, and that might even be after the diffs have been posted of Sheffield

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012

^^
Any answer?
This applies to 4 players. What should I do? My idea was to do a provisional draw with the seeding of the players and wait till tomorrow morning and remove everyone in AO MD and then adjust my draw and be able to post diffs by then, but still what about these 4 players in qualies. Are they allowed to send??

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012

From the TT FAQ thread:

Quote:
Exception: Challengers during all four Grand Slams' first weeks. Players who lose in any Grand Slams' qualifying are allowed to play these challengers.
So I'd let them send, and replace them with alts should they make the AO main draw.
