Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012 - April tournaments available

I've just had a chance to have a quick look before heading to work but Orangehat and Allez-Alejo have done nothing wrong.

Will go through it all in more detail later.

I agree with Gavin. Orangehat did everything right. I tend to forget to control my e-mail box before posting the differences sometimes, too, because it simply happens very rarely.

It was quite unfortunate that Allez-Aljo didn´t control his pm status before managing a big tournament but both managers handled the problem fine.

Okay, if the board all agree on that there was nothing done wrong, could we please do something about these players that were complaining so loudly. A first official warning might be nice!

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012 - April tournaments available

I just want to check what I should do about Rabat (Morocco) hosting next week :-

Play starts on Saturday

http://www.arryadia.com/mtt/2012/rab...p3?menu=menu_4

and it’s a Saturday final, so I’ll change the schedule to :-

SINGLES:
Saturday ~ TT Q1 & (Q2)
Sunday ~ TT Qualy Final Round
Monday ~ TT R32
Tuesday ~ TT R16
Wednesday ~ TT QF
Thursday ~ TT SF
Friday and Saturday ~ TT Final

DOUBLES:
Saturday ~ TT Q1 & (Q2)
Sunday ~ TT Qualy Final Round
Monday & Tuesday ~ TT R16
Wednesday ~ TT QF
Thursday ~ TT SF
Friday and Saturday ~ TT Final

Now the entry deadline is 6pm CET on Friday – at that time the 2nd round of singles and 1st round of doubles at Indian Wells will still be being played and results of these matches won’t be known until Sat AM UK time - (UK time and Rabat time are the same).

So when I make the qualifying draw at 6pm CET on Friday (only qualifying for singles likely to be needed) – do I remove players from the Entry List who are still in S2R/D1R of IW as of 6pm CET on Friday?

And obviously the same question for Sunday when the Main draw is done on the Sunday.

You can contact me on my TF account or on E mail at adriancollins@hotmail.com

I rarely log on here since becoming TF Admin.

I agree, nothing was wrong with what happened, just a couple consectutive unfortunate events that led to some confusion, and the critism and total slander that some players bestoyed upon the managers shouldn't be tolerated. Isn't this the reason the code of conduct was made?

I think this is the situation I had a couple of years ago.

You have to maintain the same cutoff as for the other tournaments - so TT R32 means you can't play quallies and TT R16 means you can't play MD, but you'll have to ask the players to send if they think they might still get in, and do the qualifying draw after the Indian Wells results are known, and you have your final entry list for qualifying - this might mean doing the draw after play has started in qualifying. Similarly for the MD you might find you have to do the draw after the results for IW R32 are in, which might mean you have extra gaps in your MD entry list, which you fill by extra LL from qualifying.

I would say keep them in the qualifying draw - by the time play starts in Rabat you should should know if they've won in IW or not and can then take them out if they have - the same goes for the MD. There'll be a bit of reshuffling with the draws but there always are with these 2nd week challengers I'm afraid.

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers 2012 - April tournaments available

So, we should just do the draw on Friday with everyone on the entry list and eventually remove them if they stay alive in IW? (I'm managing Guadalajara)
And we should wait for another round to be played in IW to form a MD?
Sorry if that's what you already said, I kind of can't really concentrate right now

Rabat is different as is starting on Saturday and ending Saturday - these challengers normally start qualies on Sunday and MD on Tuesday

Ok, so I do the QD on Saturday evening and eventually remove the players who survive Saturday in IW? And do I leave all the MD players on the list until Monday evening or I remove them the same time I remove those who 'survived' Saturday in IW?

No, on Saturday you should know who is in IW R32 - these players can't play qualifying so you can remove them from the list and do the QD without them. Anybody who is in the MD draw still in IW at this point stays on the list.

On Monday, you should know who is in IW R16 - these players can't play in MD so you can remove anybody on the Entry List who is still in IW and do the MD with LL spots in the place that anybody who is still in IW would have been.

Hope that makes sense
