Re: TT Complaints and Disciplinary thread

Can I ask that we get back to a system where managers are posting at least one entry list in the run up to the first singles deadline? Hard for people to make an informed choice where to play when they have no way of checking beyond doing the entry list themselves.

If that's proving too difficult maybe we need to look at moving the singles entry deadline or scrapping it altogether.

Fair comment. I know I have been one of the managers at fault recently, but if I haven't done an entry list I have usually tried to indicate the number of entries. Promise to do better!

Goldenoldie and Marto, just have to bend my knees with your awesome work. If you can't update things on time we know it's because you're busy with your private life. You guys always update on time.

Agree its annoying, but managers are already spending a lot of time updating and I dont want to complain too much about this scenario. What I might suggest is what Evita and I did at Roland Garros - split responsibility between one person managing and the other updating entry lists and making the draws. Just a suggestion.

My managing days are likely over but I'd be more than happy to update entry lists and make draws for managers who find their schedules swamped the week before the tournament they are supposed to manage.

Sorry guys, but, if accept manage one tournament, the minimun is post Diff's in deadline acceptable.

Post Differences, 4, 5, 6 hours after dealine, in more of 2 days, is very, very bad for players.

If can't manage in this week, no offered, or, asks for help Moderators.

I agree - for those of us not in the heights of the Top 50 who don't have the luxury of just choosing where we play and entering, its a case of having to look at all threads to work out where to play and where we're likely to get in with the rankings we have, and if theres no entry list in a thread its difficult to work out.

Well in the case of Shanghai nobody really wants to run the tournament and in that case late diffs > no tournament.

I do not speak on Shangay, but of Izmir.

Re: TT Complaints and Disciplinary thread

I'll try to make a program that automatically makes Singles and Doubles entry lists. I don't know when I'll have it, one of the reasons I don't manage is because I haven't got much time.

I'll keep you updated.

Now in testing mode. Goldenoldie is kindly testing it (not without some problems, I must say).

Anyway, the Palermo list I just posted in the Palermo Challenger Thread is made with this application. If anyone else wants to test it, please PM me.

Once it is 100% reliable I'll publish it somewhere.

Yes, it's SVK managing
I don't want to critizize him too much as he goes to university - on the other hand I do get your point that it's annoying not to have an EL 4 days before the tourney starts...
