Question:

Are the managers allowed to determine the deadline when is able to consider picks late or the deadline is definetly the time when the first match of the day starts?

EDIT: Forget it, I just read the new rules.

There isn't really a practical way to use a specific Excel sheet. It's easier to just create an Excel file (or another spreadsheet) with a format that you find most convenient yourself. In essence its just "tabulating" all matches and picks and copying them to the spreadsheet. But the spreadsheet certainly helps a lot because the differences are very clear.

What you can do is increase the size of the columns. For example I usually increase the size of the first four columns to 150 pixels and only have two matches (four players) horizontally. Other managers may use a format with smaller columns or many more matches horizontally.

For example it could look like this:

Code:
TT AO SF

keqtqiadv Labamba TankingTheSet Renaud

Federer 6-3 6-4 Federer 7-6 6-4 Murray 6-4 4-6 6-3 Federer 6-4 3-6 6-3
Djokovic 6-3 6-4 Djokovic 7-6 6-4 Djokovic 6-3 6-2 Djokovic 6-3 2-6 6-4
... ... ... ...

TT Singles 2012: W: Winston-Salem SF: Honolulu CH, Rotterdam, Memphis, 's-Hertogenbosch, Wimbledon, Beijing, Vienna QF: Barcelona, Nice, Bastad, Petange CH, Bangkok R16: Monte Carlo, Madrid
TT Doubles 2012: W: Caloundra CH (with kingroger), Acapulco (with keqtqiadv) F: Beijing (with KittyTennis) SF: Sydney (with Belludal), Memphis (with Belludal), Guadalajara CH (with kingroger), Wimbledon (with RHB1993) QF: Barcelona (with extremaduratenis), Cincinnati (with stbanchile)

Re: Tennis Tipping Managers Thread 2009

I've sent my spreadsheet that I use out to people and no one else seems to like it so it really is a personal preference thing. For mine the matches need to go horizontally, but then it counts correct matches for me

It is a lot of work at the beginning of the day, entering picks into the spreadsheet, but then updates and everything for the rest of the day are very easy

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer
