Re: PYW Management 2009

I will have less time to manage tourneys from March to July. Is there anybody willing to help? I will still be able to do the rankings and maybe manage one or other tourneys but not all tourneys.

Re: PYW Management 2009

Will we play Davis Cup throughout the year? I think it would be fun

Re: PYW Management 2009

I think that making it only 1 thread wouldn't change the course of the tournament that much. Probably all voters would keep voting, it's just a matter of letting everyone know in the first post and in the thread title. Let's wait for other responses to the topic, if more people complain we can change it IMO

Regarding the DC issue, I really think we should do it. World Group ties and the WG play-offs in the end of the year wouldn't be much work. No need for Zonals though.

I think it would be nice to have zonals but it'd bee too much work. but I was thinking about PYW DC and something appeared in my mind: what if we "promote" a nation who happens to lose in R-L DC and they don't have a team set-up for the time WG 1st round is played or QF
We have to have in mind that PYW is the only game who promotes a "tennis reality" beyond the real one.

Re: PYW Management 2009

I see what you mean. I think it's a nice idea, until the start of the matches on next Friday we could see which countries are doing the best jobs at PYW this year and define the 16 WG participants. We don't have to follow R-L exactly, right? I mean, France singles players would be Gasquet and Tsonga (best ranked at the moment), Brazil could have a spot having Bellucci in the top 20 and Alves in the top 60, Argentina would play with Gaudio and Schwank and so on. We just need to define a chriteria and this can be done. What you guys think?

Re: PYW Management 2009

Great idea Caio. We can follow the real draw for round 1, but the playes should be the best in PYW. I guess it will be really fun.
