Re: Doubles Draw

Well this is what the ATP wanted- high ranked singles players playing doubles for public relations.

Re: Doubles Draw

Boo no doubles again for Nole. I wonder if he and Andy put in for another WC or anything and then changed their plans when Andy got injured.

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

True enough. 2 top 10 players playing each other in the first round of doubles.... will they put it on Center Court?

Mashik, Andy plays once in a while when he wants the match play for his singles game. And it's funny he did it at this tourney since I don't think doubles matches even start til Sunday which would be after his first singles match? I dunno but i think it's good for him

Re: Doubles Draw

And I just noticed that Llodra who last year stated he wasn't going to play doubles anymore( And Santoro and he were a fun team) but look he is in the draw. I just thought about Travis P traveling to IW last week and not getting in.

And it is extra spending money as well but makes me wonder how hard some of these guys will be playing.

Re: Doubles Draw

How do they determine seedings for the draw? Looking at the combined points used to enter, Ginepri/Roddick should have been seeded 6th and Ancic/Ljubicic seeded 7th. Can someone explain please?

Re: Doubles Draw

I think they use the doubles rankings for seeds... I mean a team like Aspelin/Perry is one of the top teams in the world, if they weren't seeded and faced a top seed in the first round or whatever, that'd be just wrong.
