Main Draw now out (draw changed) (again!)

NOTE: Revised draw

Looks like the organisers messed up with the original draw. They used last weeks rankings for the seedings instead of this weeks rankings. Luckily there aren't too many changes - Chela is now seeded and gets a 1st round bye while Mathieu misses out and will now have to play Seppi in R1. The other change is that Gonzalez and Blake have swapped positions and Blake will now play Dent/Querrey in R2 while Gonzalez plays Carlsen/Muller. This means we now have the unusual situation of two top 16 seeds meeting in the last 32.

NOTE2: Draw revised (again)

They have now realised there were two top 16 seeds meeting in the last 32 and have now swapped Gonzalez with Robredo. So new pairings are Gonzalez v Soderling/Melzer and Robredo v Carlsen/Muller.

Re: Main Draw now out

Thank you (I was hoping you would be around to do it, you always do a fine job ).

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Main Draw now out

My take on the draw for my favourites:

Federer: 2nd and 3rd round shouldn't be too tough, if Gasquet is on form could be difficult in the 4th round. QF should be Ljubo who is dangerous but not too dangerous and then a potential semi with Nalby before you-know-who in the final.

Baghdatis: Bjorkman or Rochus could be tricky in the 2nd round although if he makes the 3rd Gaston isn't dynamite on hard court. That would mean Hewitt in the 4th, that match could be great. Lets not think beyond that.

Karlovic: Doesn't really matter who he plays does it. Let's see some good tie breaks Ivo!!!

Murray: First round he has a qualie but then Davydenko in the 2nd and Safin/Moya in the 3rd. Looks pretty damned hard for Murray to have a good run here.

Gaudio: Mirnyi in the 2nd round then Baggy in the 3rd. If he makes it out of there it would be Hewitt potentially. Fairly tough draw but I guess all draws are tough with the depth of quality at the moment.

Gasquet: 2nd round should be Youzhny, tricky match but not impossible. Then it would be Hrbaty and I think Richard could easily win that too but 4th round would bring up Fed which is pretty damned tricky.

Gonzalez: 2nd round is Dent, decent draw. Then Blake who is on form and a very touch match, then an in great form Haas or Agassi. Good luck Gonzo!!!

Agassi: shouldn't be too tricky to get to the 3rd round but then it would be Haas. If he could win that it would be Blake or Gonzo. Very tough section of the draw for Andre.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game
