Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

An interview from June in Kazan. I like the 2nd answer.

http://kazan2013.com/media/news/andr...siade-why-not/

Quote:
Andrey Kuznetsov has given an interview in the Tennis Academy. The young tennis player took part in the ATP Challenger Tour. Andrey Kuznetsov

Q. Personally for me the Tennis Academy looks like a palace in the desert. This urban area is not much inhabited, a little bit desolate and all of the sudden there is the oasis of sports. It seemed a little bit magic to me. Didnít you get the same impression?
- I havenít seen many tennis centers of this level to compare. The tennis specialists noted that your tennis complex was very big and well-equipped and I fully agree with them.

Q. Do you intend to visit Kazan in future? After all in three years it will host the World Universiade.
- You know I expect to participate in the London Olympic Games. Iíll try to finish in top fifty tennis players and then there will be no point in playing in the ATP Challenger Tours (ATP Challenger Tours are for young tennis players). If I donít succeed Iíll gladly visit Kazan once again to particiapate in such a tournament. I need to upgrade my rating score, why not to do it in Russia? And why not to take part in the Universiade? Iíd be only happy!

Q. Youíll be a trifle over 21 during the London Olympics. What do you count on in terms of getting in the Russian national team: the aging leaders or only self-reliance?- In fact most tennis players enjoyed significant gains in 21. Del Potro from Argentina, for instance, won the Grand Slam Tournament in 21. You need to work hard to succeed. As for our leaders Nikolay Davydenko and Mikhail Yuzhny, I think their age wonít prevent them from participating in the Olympics. If only they avoid injuries.

Q. The specialists called you an entirely national tennis ęproductĽ. You started to train in Russia and didnít move abroad. Unlike Marat Safin, for instance, who was coached in Spanish tennis academies or Nikolay Davydenko who broke the ground in Germany. Does that mean that itís possible to master tennis in Russia?
- Iím lucky that I have my father as a coach. I donít have to pay huge money for tennis education which is a certain obstacle at the initial stage. Yet before the tournaments we move abroad to get a better conditioning training. My dad had coached two masters of sports, they donít play now but they practice coaching themselves. However there are enough talented young sportsmen that have achieved a certain level of success starting and continuing their tennis careers in Russia.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

4 straight pts from 15:40 down in the opening game and break the next *2:0

After wasting 2 or 3 GPs, get broken 2-1*

Lose 5pts from 0-40 and should've won the last two *2-2

Hold to love 3-2* Many errors from both players *3:3

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Have half chance like 15:30 at 5:4*
Now 2DFs in a low to give 3BPs and get broken to love.

5-7, Get it together

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Obviously his serving isn't good though, he seems kinda outplayed on his serve than on return.

Should've challenged the call on 0:30 That was in!
Still have a couple of BPs but can't convert them *3:1
