The board is slow responding.

It's the same issue I was having months ago that affected everyone. You click a link and have to wait like 15-20 seconds before anything loads.

And it seems to me everytime Steve logs on, the board becomes faster.

Yeah, it will go very slow for periods of time, but then go back to normal again.

Re: The board is slow responding.

I've been having this problem for a while.

When I click a link within MTF the info bar at the bottom flashes "Waiting for oascentral.verticalscope.com..." in between the standard message "Waiting for menstennisforums.com..." which is what you'd expect after clicking a link.

oascentral.verticalscope.com is related to an advertising site, so I'm guessing (and I know very little about this sort of thing) that this website is used for one of MTF's ads, and when you click a link within MTF it tries to load something from this website too, which slows things down.

But I may be completely wrong! Is there any way to check this out??

Re: The board is slow responding.

It probably has to do with some embedded advertising. I use the NoScript Firefox extension and that blocks verticalscope.com, so I don't have this problem.

I've just tried installing and using that but it hasn't made any difference. The program shows that it is blocking verticalscope.com, and I'm not getting the "Waiting for verticalscope.com..." message now, but it's still taking the same amount of time to load each page
