We have no choice but to pull those articles because of the seriousness of the accusations levelled against certain individuals. How certain are you those reports and articles are 100% truthful? Are you sure enough to believe there's absolutely no chance of us getting subpoenaed for your information so a lawyer can identify your location, and start legal proceedings against you?
I honestly don't want any member of this website to be threatened with legal action as a result of their contributions to this site. You can help both us and yourselves by not naming any names until such time that the allegations are proven either by admission of guilt, or by whatever process that might follow the reports you've read.
There were two stories that I had posted that were completely deleted. You must realize that there is a reason for the press--to disseminate news to the people. It is a democratic right. To delete these stories in tantamount to an attack on the 1st Amendment right to free speech.
As I stated above, do you know for certain these stories you or anyone else posted are the gospel truth? You are aware if they're proven to be false at a later date whoever published those stories is liable to pay substantial damages to those wrongly accused? Do you want to risk the same liability for distributing those stories on here should they be proven false later?
Furthermore, how can we have a discussion on a "message board" if we don't have the facts or allegations as reported in front of us?
I say, yes, edit out names from the posts but, please, don't delete the news articles.
I'm glad you understand why we have taken the stance we have in relation to naming names. If you edit out any names from stories they might not be deleted. You can continue discussing the issues at hand but please steer clear of naming anybody directly until such a time that any case is proven. And no you won't get banned for bringing up your concerns with us.
I certainly understand your frustrations but unfortunately we don't write these laws.
