Do you think its ok when users post a screencap of their reps?

I’m curious what other people think about people posting the reputations they received.

I guess often a comment given to someone is meant to be private and that person might not like it to see it later on posted openly in the forum.

Good point. I made a screencap of my rep cp before, but only capped the users that repped me, and not their comments.

It is good blackmail and great drama.

Adds to the forum experience. It is a classic MTF move, one that's been around forever.

Banning it would be bad for the game of MTF. Ridicule is enough punishment.

Kinda this.

If there's something that's definitely personal then just black it out

I've never seen anything that could've meant to be personal on someone's rep pic before anyway

hahahahha don't rep someone if you are afraid of backlash, that's life

reps are not something you HAVE to do, so if someone feels so obligated to share their the opinion they have of someone, it's not as though the poster they're commenting about ever made an agreement not to share this
just don't add sensitive comments to the reps if you're concerned about it

Yes, it's very interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes

Private ideas should be sent through PMs.

I'm okay with it as long it's not the really nasty bad reps I dished out

Nadal - Dimitrov - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Carreno Busta - Chardy - Cuevas

I don't think it's ok, but it would be a bit silly to have this as part of forum rules.

It's just common sense and respect.

Totally OK, members should be actively encouraged to do so.

Remove the rep system. It's abused by groups of friends in order to kiss each others arses.

It's a bit quicker than a PM, so it can be useful. However the need to spread reputation removes a lot of its usefulness.
I see nothing wrong in reps being made public, but would be happy to see them gone.

Re: Do you think its ok when users post a screencap of their reps?

why not ?

if you receive a goodrep from someone it's easy to judge would that person like to put his comment in public, if someone badreps you with pathetic comment it's good to exposes how shitty person he/she is

Re: Do you think its ok when users post a screencap of their reps?

i did it once bc i was lazy but i read each rep i got and non of them was private or personal comment someone told me about the other.

i did it once and i dont think its ok to publish stuff like that so i will never do it again but some think it ok so to each his own
