Question: In this thread
, one of the moderators states that the moderating team has come up with a clearer definition of "player bashing" and he adds: "moderators will be stricter in clamping down on attacks against any player going forward".
Judging by the state of GM and seeing no difference at all, I'm wondering about this clearer definition but I can only find vague descriptions so I'm assuming that I'm overlooking the new and improved definition. Can some kind soul post the definition in here please?
The story here is that there were a few complaints regarding our use of the player bashing rule, with forumers not understanding what is acceptable and what isn't when it comes to criticising players, and pointing out that there isn't any information on it in the site rules. So we added a short definition which you'll find in there. That is: "Insulting players or using derogatory terms/nicknames to attack them. e.g trash, disgusting human being etc."
Yes, I realise there are still tons of people making insults around the forum and breaking this rule. Unlike most of the other rules, since there's so many insults flying around aimed at various players (then retaliations etc etc), it will be a gradual process of eliminating this stuff, but there should be no excuses now that they've been clearly informed that it won't be acceptable.
You guys can give us a hand as well by reporting people (people from your own fanbase as well by the way, since most reports are just etched with bias) when they clearly break this rule.
