The thread wouldn't be the same if anyone of you do that.
So if a user takes this initiative is baiting, if a mods starts the very same thread is normal. Makes sense.

No. But if you meant a thread like Goldenoldie opened, appeal moderator is the one who has those numbers. Honestly.. what do you know about appeals? That's why it isn't okay.

Never ever give up

Bingo. And I didn't decide alone that you can't start a thread about appeals, Motorhead. What would you need this thread for anyways? We've answered every question in here, over and over.

I would open the thread and people would simply post their numbers:
Appeals submitted
Appeals supported
Appeals successful

very baiting isn't it?

Re: Ask MTF Mods

After reporting a post, I think that the user who reported the post should get information/feedback on the outcome of their report. Otherwise they do not always know if any action has been taken re/ their report.

Mark Lenders banged your girlfriend, I'm sorry to tell you that mate.

Yes you did. It is clearly your own interpretation, the very fact that at first you weren't even be able to tell me straight after my question that this was against the rules proves that.

I don't know exactly what you are trying to achieve here. Your questions stopped being relevant for this thread long time ago, and if you wish to continue this nitpicking, I suggest you contact a super moderator or an admin using the private message system.

I'm asking questions, don't think it's against the rules (yet).

I'm sure you're curious, I always was too, but it doesn't really work that way. We don't have the time to respond personally to every reported post, but you can rest assured that if the post/report is out of line, we'll deal with it. I don't think it's fair to tell one user that we've given another user a warning/infraction, etc. If any mod sees it a different way they can certainly say so, but I think there's a good reason that reports have never been responded to in such a way.

You're harping on the same subject over and over and over and achieving nothing, it needs to stop. Like he said, contact a super mod if you need further help with this issue.

I'd rather other users to know how things work instead of having PMs exchanges.

Re: Ask MTF Mods

I partially agree with motorhead on this. For now, I'll keep it short and will elaborate later if needed.

There definitely should be a official statistics about appeals. It should be made part of the duty of the appeal mod to do this. Each new appeal mod should have to make a thread(even a single post in an appropriate place would do) containing the following 4 figures, just like Goldenoldie did:
Code:
Appeals considered:
Appeals supported:
Appeals successful :
Appeals not yet determined :
And then update it whenever one of the actions happens. No need for more details such as who appealed. It would take very little time and will greatly improve the functionality of the appeal mod as seen by the regular user.

When the concept of an appeal moderator was initially introduced, several references were made as to how the he/she would be more "experienced" in the process. A few simple numbers on the same surely will help the initial idea. I for one really want to know the first three figures and was quite happy when Goldenoldie made his thread. Since the banning/infraction both of oneself and of others has many times been a very discussed topic on this forum, I'm sure that there are many users who share my view on this.

One of you could argue that when viruzzz signed up for the job, this wasn't part of it's description. For now, let's treat this as something that will start from the next appeal moderator(nobody is going to have that job forever). If(I'd rather use when here) this is approved, I'm sure that a request to viruzzz for the same will suffice. Shortly, I will PM him about the same and even ask him to chime in on this topic.

Re: Ask MTF Mods

As my name has been mentioned in this thread I would just like to point out that viruzzz has a more difficult task than I had. He has to convince 2 mods that an appeal should be allowed, whereas I only had to convince 1.

I have no idea what the appeals mod work load is these days, but doing the job is more important than keeping statistics.
I barely had time to do everything I wanted to do, so it could be a question of priorities.
