I partially agree with motorhead
on this. For now, I'll keep it short and will elaborate later if needed.
There definitely should be a official
statistics about appeals. It should be made part of the duty of the appeal mod to do this. Each new appeal mod should have to make a thread(even a single post in an appropriate place would do) containing the following 4 figures, just like Goldenoldie
Appeals successful :
Appeals not yet determined :
And then update it whenever one of the actions happens. No need for more details such as who appealed. It would take very little time and will greatly improve the functionality of the appeal mod as seen by the regular user.
When the concept of an appeal moderator was initially introduced
, several references were made as to how the he/she would be more "experienced" in the process. A few simple numbers on the same surely will help the initial idea. I for one really want to know the first three figures and was quite happy when Goldenoldie
made his thread. Since the banning/infraction both of oneself and of others has many times been a very discussed topic on this forum, I'm sure that there are many users who share my view on this.
One of you could argue that when viruzzz
signed up for the job, this wasn't part of it's description. For now, let's treat this as something that will start from the next appeal moderator(nobody is going to have that job forever). If(I'd rather use when here) this is approved, I'm sure that a request to viruzzz
for the same will suffice. Shortly, I will PM him about the same and even ask him to chime in on this topic.
