Is the account upgrade (paid subscription) supposed to be automatic?

I paid for an upgrade through the user cp, but nothing change. It has been almost a month. I emailed the Admin through the MTF mainpage (more than 2 weeks ago), I still haven't got a reponse . I emailed VerticalScope Inc (it has been almost 2 weeks), also no reponse . I give up, will just have to live with no picture in my signature . Have to say I am very disappointed with the customer service. Will try to see if I can get a refund through paypal.

I was thinking of upgrading but couldn't find any way to do it. Where is it in User CP? (I am not doing it until SapELee's issue is resolved, though).

Is there some way for Premium/Lifetime users to "hide" their status? How come some users who don't seem to be Premium/Lifetime have avatars bigger than 96x96?

It should be under the Miscellaneous tab (Paid Subscription).
