Can We Have the Roasting/Haha/Cheese etc Threads back?

14 months on GM is more of a cesspit than ever.

Those threads were 96% light hearted. Now the hating spills into everything Why, if the EGOFed threade was still open there would be no need for such unpleasantness as we have witnessed these past few days

Can we have them back?

Supported. They were always good for a good laugh and people who are easily offended won't click them anyway. So give the trolls their platform. Maybe it will keep them from other threads. Of course it won't.

I hope so, the match threads have become unbearable lately with all the crap being thrown back and forth. At least with the Haha threads we could have some laughs

I'm not sure if it'll solve the cesspit problem. It could be too late.

When the roasting/haha/...threads were still in place, MTF'ers were used to keeping the actual match threads rather clean and do their worst in the roasting threads.
Now, they're used to posting their worst all over the place. Are they going to be willing to stick to those specific threads voluntarily? Because otherwise, it would be one hell of a job for moderators to get them to stick to those haha threads.

Basically it boils down to where do you want the trolls to troll?

I'd rather have them all in one thread and keep the match threads relatively on topic instead of having pretty much every thread on GM 90% trolling, 10% match discussion.

Removing these threads was pretty much like throwing the bath water out with the baby.

Do the right thing people in power. It s OK to admit to a mistake and backtrack.

much supported, I laughed the most over the GOAT cheese thread and even posted there and it was one of the most fun threads in GM to me, as I understand it it was mostly over-sensitive Djokovic fans who complained about the hahaha thread and got them all closed, why not remove the extremely offensive posts and keep the vast majority of light-hearted ones going on?
