The moving of the Dubai refusing visa for Israeli player

I strongly disagree with the decision to move that thread to non-tennis. Although this time is a WTA player refused entrance, the discussion is about the refusal on a whole and also has impact on ATP tour.

I suggest the thread to be merged with the one mentioned in cobalt60's post in the thread.

I agree, the thread is definitely ATP related, it's not "non-tennis".

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

x4

Put it back to GM, as there are Israeli male players as well.

In my opinion the main topic of the threads is ISRAELI players rejected by UAE. That's why the threads should be merged into one and moved back into GM.

I agree. This is going to come up again for the men in a week when Andy Ram cant get it (or is it Ehrlich, which one is injured?). Might as well combine them, perhaps edit the title a bit to include the new info and date, and leave it in GM. Please.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

No idea why it was moved. Probably because some of the GM mafia think it's cool to mock the WTA.

This is scoobs answered in the moved thread but I think it's better discussed here than in that thread.

As I have suggested in my petition there, you can merge it with an exisiting thread in GM. Although WTA players are mentioned in this thread, basically, most is about the refusal of Israeli players and what actions should players/WTA/ATP take. Just move the thread because of the title or this time the incident happens to a WTA player without really look into the spirit of the thread is not fair. May be MTF is like ATP or the top 3, 10 or 20 players in either tours that as long as it didn't involve someone famous, it did not occur.

I don't see a thread in GM to merge it with.

Regardless, I have asked the admins to review it and make a decision.

Re: The moving of the Dubai refusing visa for Israeli player

Well first of all I can merge across threads in NT and GM - needs an Admin to do that.

Secondly, the one in NT is still largely about Shahar Peer and would need to be cleared up before returning to GM so I will see what the admins want to do.
